Is it? It has its following, but the bestselling game in the series only sold about 3.5 million. Compare that to the sales and merchandising popularity of Animal Crossing, Pokémon, even Kirby and Splatoon, and DK which managed to sell the same number of copies in the first six months of a systems life… I just don’t see Fire Emblem ever coming to the parks. Could be wrong though, and it’s not like I’m against it.

Pikmin is about the same size in terms of sales, but it has the advantage of being more popular in merchandise and as a design than it is as an game, and being Miyamoto’s favorite thing ever lol

The Mobile game made over a Billion Dollars, we have not see a REAL new FE game in like years and DK sold well not only for being an amazing game but also...what else are you going to play on Switch 2? Everyone got Mario Kart and we had no other Nintendo single player games yet.
FE is like Anime, sure other things make more but when you give fans a chance to buy things they come out and support it.

If we ever got a FE meet and greet or even fan fest attraction, I think it would have at least as good of lines as D&D if not more because it being branded Nintendo.

I wouldn't be opposed to FE but I feel like Splatoon coming to a future FFN in Universal Plaza might be more likely than it, personally speaking anyway (right now KPDH seems like a very possible contender for that spot).

As for the Switch 2, keep in mind it is backwards compatible and there's all those games getting free patches, S2Es or even just performing better on Switch 2. Not to mention we're only in its first year, Legends Z-A just came out, Age of Imprisonment is imminent, and we got Kirby Air Riders and Metroid Prime 4 on the horizon. Anyone getting one this holiday will have a good selection of things. The OG Switch library needed time to pick up steam too and here we are now.

To stay on topic though, it'd be nice if the Pikmin is to test things to eventually see more rollouts of wider Nintendo merch much like the Zelda merch in Epic, even if it's just to cross promote.

I don't think we'll ever get Fire Emblem merch, but I don't think they'll stop at Pikmin. I bet they slowly roll out DK, Kirby, Zelda if that ends up coming to UOR and possibly Splatoon. Considering we'll probably never get any kind of Nintendo expansion besides a seperate Pokemon land at USH, I don't see why they wouldn't expand the range of Nintendo series represented in the current land.

We’re almost certainly not seeing anything that isn’t in-house Nintendo. So no Fire Emblem, Pokemon, (in a SNW context), Kirby, WarioWare, Xenoblade, etc.


Hope they bring DK merch over here one day.

Hope they bring DK merch over here one day.

WarioWare is an in-house IP, even if newer games have been developed by an outside studio (similarly to Luigi's Mansion, Metroid, and Retro's Donkey Kong duology).

Being a Mario sub-series also helps its case, although it isn't particularly mainstream or popular.
