I took some pics of it yesterday, no sure what it looks like. Looks like some brick work, so either some sort of "city" building or...something. I'll post the pics.

Best I could take, the tram was shaking hard and there were trees in the way.

I'm going to take a wild guess here that the facade is supposed to look like a warehouse?

if that's a assumption then probably. it does look like a warehouse front but who knows.

It's too bad they don't theme the whole building, but exciting to see the façade for this thing already.

That's one of my small criticisms I have on Universal in general: they don't really care to mask the show buildings.

Yeah, that's my biggest gripe. It's amazing what covering a show building completely will do. Now, I know it's not AS practical on the studio tour, like with Kong, but with F&F they can just do a stamped brick work facade on the rest of the building, wouldn't be too difficult....or expensive. I think they should theme the show buildings from any angle it can be seen by guests.

My sorta big gripe is still our Minion Mayhem. Still wish we wouldn't see the show building at all.

And the biggest gripe I have with Universal and it's weird determination to not fully theme it's buildings is with Forbidden Journey. It's an absolutely incredible land that's themed in every square inch, and them there's this very visible and massive beige show building jutting out of the rock work....

It's especially noticeable in the Japanese version. Like....literally just a bit more themeing could cover FJ from within the land.

I think the reason why the show buildings in Universal are not fully themed is because they would be too time consuming to re theme them. Imagine if you painted/decorated the entire outside of a building, then 15 years later your have to redecorate. It would cost too much and waste time. E.T. only had a theme front. When switching to ROTM, it was fairly easy. Just replace the front and a new ride.

Same with Terminator 2:3D; Replace the front of the show building with the houses, a tadda! A new themed ride.

Universal Studios(Hollywood especially) is constantly replacing its rides with new ones and the show buildings have to be reusable.

Just my two cents.

Universal shouldn't have that kind of outlook on its park. They need to create attractions that are timeless and they need to fully theme the exteriors imo. There's no excuse to not properly theme Despicable Me or Potter from all angles.

I see your point, but with the amazing work that Universal is doing, I'd like to see them go all the way.

I see your point with DM; but i think US probably didnt want the house facade to be gaint.

I also think USH keeps the half theme to give guests the studio-like athmosphere.

Universal seems to focus more of its theming in orlando and singapore cuz USO is more theme park-like.

The half theming days seem to be behind us. We are going full theme park mode.  Just look at this 5 year plan.

Will F&F include animatronics like Florida's Kong?  I know there will be live sets with 3-D, and it certainly sounds more promising than our Kong.

I don't think there will be any animatronics. Maybe some moving props (I'm crossing my fingers for an actual helicopter) but no animatronics.

All the characters will most likely be CGI/green screened in for the main room, and depending on what the first ride room is like, maybe Musion-based characters.

Perhaps Universal will use live actors...

You know, I was gonna mention that Jon, I swear to god hahaha. Cuz I've heard rumblings of that internally quite a few times now a few months ago but then I heard that might be scrapped for Musion effects for their simplicity, since live actors seemed like it might be a hassle. But if it's true and they end up using them in that first ride room in the way that I've been told they might appear, then I'm gonna be thrilled, as it'll be a throwback to Battlestar Galactica on the tour before it was replaced by BTTF!

Either way, I'm extremely excited for it :) I don't think it'll go wrong with actors or Musion.

If this attraction has live actors, physical elements, and virtual/simulation elements, it very well could be the grandest animation of the tour.

I'm perfectly fine with Musion characters TBH. Live actors would be great, but I don't see that happening on the Studio Tour anymore.

As much as I'd love the live actors, I feel like musion characters would streamline the process a bit more in this case. But we'll see I guess!

Considering they've filmed the Rock, I'm sure that some form of it will be included in the final product.
