Really hoping Universal Orlando's Disaster doesn't get a F&F layover to mimic the tram type attraction!

Kinda funny to think that Orlando is using our ideas now and stretching them out a bit.

I think Godzilla would be a far more likely replacement for that sort of attraction. I mean, the San Francisco setting is already there.

Based on Westcoaster's recent construction pics, it looks looks like the building will be broken up into multiple rooms. Very exciting.

Anyone have a time frame on this? Opening Spring or Summer 2015? I've heard Spring but that doesn't mean anything.

Summer, as per the press release:

2015 will be a momentous year for the theme park with two spectacular attractions debuting as part of the 50th anniversary. “Springfield” an immersive land surrounding “The Simpsons Ride” will open in Spring 2015 and in Summer 2015, “Fast & Furious—Supercharged,” based on the blockbuster film series, will be introduced as the grand finale to the celebrated Studio Tour.

I'd imagine they'd try to have everything done before late June, but does anyone have any more information on their usual summer openings?

King Kong opened in July of 2010. I forget if it was soft opened in June or not though, I can check. Also, Transformers opened in May of 2012 even though they said Summer, but I think that was so that they could've opened Transformers a month before DCA opened Cars Land.

Transformers actually opened in late April, it was surprisingly early for a Soft Opening.

I think he's referring to the grand opening date, rather than the soft opening.

Wow, I'm actually very surprised by how tall the first building is. Possible helicopter prop to be in use in that scene(s)?

My jaw dropped when I was pointed it out. At first I thought it was the FJ show building, and then I looked and saw that in the distance. It's freaking huge.

I think next year USH will finally get undivided attention from Universal fans for the first time in a long, long time.

Absolutely massive! Can't wait to see how it turns out and I REALLY hope it won't completely rely on projections or projected effects!

I think its nearly identical in scale to Kong 360.  F&F just has more perspective because its not next to a hill.  Not too sure how excited I am about this one just yet.  It sounds cool, but I am looking for a Wow!

And I believe its all screen based for the main room like Kong.

Interesting! He's pretty cool. First Disaster, now this :P

I wonder if the screen(s) will indeed be bigger and more immersive than Kong. And I still hope it'll be more than just screens.

It has to be more immersive than kong. There's no way they leave it the same because in a few short years, compared to what's being done In Orlando, Kong if already showing it's age. I know that's weird to say but I felt much more immersed and the screens felt much more convincing on Gringotts than they ever have on Kong. Especially If you sit on the outside of the tram.... If you sit on the inside of the tram, Kong is a much better experience I will admit. But yes, I would have to hope and believe that Universal will make this one much much more immersive based off of what I've seen in Orlando.
