Well it would also be nice to have a new "host" on the TV screens and more new facts for the 60th

I think I got sick of Fallon after a few months lol. Loved the Ron Howard era of the tour. Made it feel more magical.

Key and Peele would be an obvious choice.

Conan O’ Brien would be a major upgrade to Fallon …

Me: "Anybody but Fallon, please!"

Monkey's paw: curls

Breaking news: "Universal announces the Rock is the new host of the Studio Tour."

I'm a little surprised they've never been able to convince Spielberg to do it. His career is closely tied to the studio, he's great on camera, and has a deep appreciation for the lot and its history.

Jordan peele could be a great choice. Adds diversity to the park and he’s so passionate about filmmaking, it would be a nice partnership.

^@clive
Yeah it’s odd Spielberg has never really been featured on the tram, besides old interviews that weren’t done for the tour. Spielberg has a great video on YouTube, taking a tour of the lot in a golf cart and it’s amazing. I’ll edit the post and add it for anyone interested.

That's the exact video that prompted my suggestion!

Jordan Peele would also be a great pick if he was up for it.

Hell, I'd be happy if they had Spielberg, Peele, and maybe another two or three filmmakers all co-hosting it together; perhaps even have different variants that can be played. Like, when you get to New York, Spielberg could be talking about it, but next time you take the tour, there's a chance Peele could be, or they could be talking about it together. Kind of get across the multi-generational influence both the lot and the studio have had, while spicing up the Tour so you don't get tired of seeing the same hosting bits each and every time.

I miss Conan and I really miss Drew. He was a great tour guide during the late 00s. Side note, I remember seeing on the tour guide’s scripts “NO CONAN!!” After that whole late night wars debacle

I'll put my tip of the hat and say, just have Jordan Peele do a "Peele" hosted Tram with Key & Peele like sequences.

That'd be bliss.

I’m also on the Spielberg camp, though Nolan seems to be very fond of Universal after their support of Oppenheimer

I'd prefer no video host at all. Just let the Tour Guide do their thing.

If Nolan narrated the tour the music levels would be insanely high.....subtitles would not be allowed. lol

Honestly this can make or break the Tram....I went on it a few weeks ago and the person did the bare minimum talked the normal points no extra info and mainly just played the jimmy fallon and other clips

I understand what you mean, but I think it helps break up the pace and intervals of when a tour guide talks to that of someone who could be present.

Nolan would be a great choice, as would Spielberg and Peele. I just want someone who is actually part of filmmaking to be back on for the Tour, and not a late night host or a daytime personality.

I agree. Old man rant time... For me personally the tour change drastically with the addition of the TV monitors and not necessarily for the better. Some (or maybe even most) rely too heavily on the monitors. I've had two guides in the last couple of weeks that played more videos than they actually talked themselves.

I actually prefer the Spanish tours. They have the perfect hybrid of screen time and Guide. The clips shown are far superior than the English tours. And all of the segments with Carmen Villalobos are actually shot on the metro sets and outside the stages instead of Fallon's green screen segments ( I think the only on location segment with Fallon is the Six Points scene).

If they ever update the Tram screens/Audio I would like to see this more

Like your filming every day on the lot and basically nothing they show even on TV is more then clips of films that were shot there (most 20+ years ago) why not have another camera set up and show building and area's behind the scene style. Once upon a time in hollywood was shot here and then add a clip showing the actors on the sets your diring next to, so people get more excited and have a sense of how the sets trick you when filmed.

Also do we know why USH doesn't try to have more of their films on the lot? F&F just came out and I'm assuming they didn't shoot one scene on the lot because they never talked about it, oppinhimer, Jurassic World 3, Wicked Megan.....etc. Just Even one scene in most Universal films could help freshen up the tour to feel more like its being used
