In two weeks, first comment to have seen it? Franchise really is dead.
Which is weird, because while the house reminded me why the show tanked, this show rekindled a couple fond memories of when it was mind-blowingly good. Nostalgia-bait, but in bite-sized form. The heavy reliance on arena rock works well because (1) the 80s and (2) this is basically a mini-arena show. A thousand people headbanging along to "Master of Puppets" makes HHN feel a little bit bro-y again.
My only complaint is my fellow guests--do 25% of you really need to video this? Sometimes even people in the same family. The sea of cell screens does the show no favors if you aren't right on the fence.
Not as good as the original Marathon of Mayhem, but a worth-while experience that doesn't require an hour in line.
