At the risk of getting off topic, I was really really into the 3DS installments and Go when I was about 9-12 and have since kind of fallen out of love with the series. Which is really sad, it was a major defining part of my childhood, but Arceus was the only Switch era Pokemon I truly enjoyed and even that kind of felt like playing a polished prototype of something better.
So, is the closing of the road behind Simpsons basically guaranteed? I see no way they reuse the same 33 year old building for a THIRD ride, especially when it's both literally and metaphorically showing cracks. I honestly think they need to level the entire land, build out from the hill to expand the overall area and then build something new from scratch. This is kind of THE spot at USH. It needs to be something really special, a land that blows everyone's minds.
That's why I think it needs to be BTTF or Dark Universe. Pokemon is inevitable and also deserves a premium spot in the park, but this should be a celebration of USH's core identity.
