1) This is why I wanted what will now become the hotel to become theme park space, we have a TON of IPs that can work at this park from Pokemon, HTTYD and Dreamworks, monsters, Wicked, more Nintendo/Mario, and now One Piece which yeah its earned its place with its crowds the last two years (plus that IP will only get bigger with the remake anime, anime spin off and live action show)

But we can't the hotel is coming and we only have the space we have

1) French Street, not much room but enough room for a smaller show, meet and greet area or walking attraction and you can retheme the little cafe at the end to whatever you fill in the space using the VIP dinning area as the attraction/show/meet and greet.
2) Simpsons land, Whatever this becomes the main attraction needs to be a people eater. If its a show then great make it where you can change it for Fan Fest and HHN if needed if its an attraction, it needs to be a people eater nothing under 1,600 people an hour
For now the rumors are the lower lot is going to be where things are moved from to make room for some new attractions and lands.
1) If you can, move Panda express that area isn't huge but with the store and restroom can easily become something for SNW. Either a moving walkway attraction for Luigi's mansion or something else maybe like a star conservatory show themed for Mario Galaxy.
2) Add Another land and Subland to the Lower Lot, I assume one will be Pokemon and then you should still have room for another Subland as well. If we get ride of the Mummy and Transformers then we could see like 3ish lands be added to lower lot but its so much speculation

Another path is for them to finally move the tram and use the lower lot.....the Tram loads where the Mummy is now meaning we still have room for another land and a random big attraction/subland plus with the tram moved we can use the old Tram loading area through Falls lake for like 2-3 Sublands or two big lands
1) Make the old Tram loading area and Tram garages into a new attraction/subland
2) The path will mostly just be that...but maybe they can make room for some snacks, little stores or carts
3) At Falls lake/the old F&F attraction make a new land or two sublands and should be enough room there for two E tickets or like One E ticket and 2 D tickets and a flat ride. Or One Big Ride and one big show....etc

So we don't have much room but they can play this in a way and make it with the studio we have room for another 8-10 Attractions/shows and this besides French Street and Simpsons land most of these area's will just be making not theme park land into theme park

If they just do the lower lot....we can still get to 5+ attractions without replacing much of what is already in the park but hoping at a time we can move the tram and at the very least use that old land for something....

Regarding the "make One Piece permanent" discussion: There is a really important difference between concentrated/pent-up demand and sustained demand.

Universal Japan does not have a permanent One Piece show or attraction. They continue to run Waterworld. I think that's really, really telling.

Not bad point, but even by the time we could get a land things could change. We don't know whats coming to IOA, and maybe Japan would want a land or subland...so could be a deal made to get it to a few parks but good to keep in mind

But even without One Piece more then enough old and new IPs to add to USH, that we could fill a second park at this point.

After Saturday night, and seeing the crowds, my first thought was, “Wow… WaterWorld is in danger.”

But the more you think about it, there are some solid arguments against it… especially when you factor in the USJ point.

I just think the best place for One Piece is... exactly where it is. An anchor attraction/headliner for Fan Fest Nights.

It's hugely popular to the point where it draws guests to a still extremely new and tough-to-market event, which is great! But I'm not convinced it would sustain this level of demand if it became a regular, open-ended day ops attraction. I have to imagine Universal Japan has run plenty of market research (after all, I believe they've done several One Piece park takeover events?), and they still haven't opted to replace their Waterworld.

I think the relative accessibility of the Water World show is a major factor in its prolonged popularity. My understanding is the One Piece show benefits much more from coming in as a fan already than something like Water World which doesn’t even require you to have heard of the movie to get the show.

Which, yeah, makes One Piece perfect for a “fan night” where the assumption is a group of guests already engaged with the IP.

I went in with very little knowledge of the IP and walked away a big fan.

A lot of what makes the show work, though, is how much they can hide in the nighttime setting. I’m not sure it translates the same way during the day.

Crowds have been nuts, and it’s great seeing fans fully engaged and enjoying it together. But you’re right - this event is pulling maybe a third of HHN-level crowds, and they’re all there for the main draw. Until it shows up at USJ, I don’t think we’ll be seeing it stateside.

I don't think USJ's lack of a permanent One Piece land/attraction is a definitive indication that it isn't viable to receive one. The park is pretty much maxed out on viable expansion space, so any addition of that scale is going to be difficult going forward. One Piece's recent growth in international popularity is not negligible, and I imagine it could be an IP Universal is thinking about for future expansion, even beyond Japan.

Most of us agree and aren't saying destroy something now and do it but over in USJ they have One Piece for like 4-6 months of the year at events, so at the very least during Summer or Grinchmas they should see if they can bring this back at some point as well if USJ can bring it during a none Fan Fest, it stands to reason they could try to bring it back to boost the attendance of other events.

By the time we could even really do a Real One Piece land is soooo far away anyway and as long as the Live Action keeps adding new fans along with the remake anime which will also be a great starting point for new people. The IP is just growing and its not new, its 28 years old. I was reading the Manga like 18 years ago in High school.
These characters are lasting a long time and we haven't even been able to have other fan favorites in the park as meet and greets, Buggy, Crocodile, Robin, Chopper, Brook, Franky, Jinbe, Ace and Shanks and sure like 5-10 more side characters easy would get long lines.

There is a One Piece Cafe in Little Tokyo, so maybe they could at least get the rights to food and meet and greets and try that at some point first as a test for normal days as well But even if it just events but they can find ways to bring One Piece in some way back for the summers and maybe the holidays......or Lunar New years? Or some sort of event in Jan/February to draw people in that would be really cool.

We will take more about 2027 Fan Fest...but man hearing Frieren is getting a walkthrough attraction makes me hope we can have some Anime in the lower lot next year and then we can show people again....how popular anime is because D&D is an amazing attraction but I bet a Frieren attraction has lines like HP Walkthrough even with like 2-3 times the capacity

I get the argument, but if Universal really saw One Piece as a long-term anchor, it feels like USJ would’ve found a way by now. The fact it’s still seasonal kinda tells you how they view it for the time being.

That POV may be different in a year from now, though!

I'd like One Piece to be permanent because I like One Piece. They should definitely test out meet-n-greets throughout the day to see how popular they are with GP visitors who aren't specifically visiting for Fan Fest.

Alternatively, I do think they should transfer rotating theater shows in the DreamWorks Theater to a permanent offering as a low-effort way of boosting that venue's utilization throughout the year.
