I haven't seen the film yet but heard its good for that series

Realllllly sucks there isn't a maze open for it, but hey if comes back next year....I can't put all the blame on six flags.....the teams selling the rights clearly don't care about pushing the IPs at that point

It's one of the better ones and revisits the old school charm of Saw I-VII, while also doing something new. It's wild, but with Jigsaw and Spiral, it feels like Saw never left, but in a way, I wish it did so this film would feel more nostalgic without the baggage of those two other films trying to reinvent the wheel. I mention this because it reminded me of how it felt when Saw first came to HHN in 09 and how exciting that was, even upon it's repeat in '10. I know the '17 maze was a dud, but I really hope they give it another shot, reusing the old layout of 09-10 instead of the '17 maze, with some new scenes ofcourse. As for this pertains to Fright Fest, it's really anyone's guess what the Saw X maze will do. Could be just on the new film, which is totally plausible, there's plenty of content. Or it could be a series retrospective. Either way, I hope this snafu has Saw return to HHN.

Well considering
This movie takes place after the first film....e could see a new timeline made like What Halloween did and get a few new films out of Saw that would be exciting again. It will be sad when they do have to kill off Jigsaw again but hopefully this time they find a REAL interesting person to take over unlike the dirty cop in Saw 5-7 and who ever the heck the new killers were in the new film.

So hopefully Saw becomes kinda a thing again...mainly so I can do another Maze for them at HHN

Wow. I was literally going to go on Sunday to check out Saw and Conjuring and then you announced that it will be delayed. I decided and committed to go to KSF with my sister on Sunday and now you decide to open it tomorrow.

Good job SFMM. Although thanks as I will likely have a better time at KSF again lol Well better late than never I guess.

Yeah, as much as I want to champion SF when possible, even I suspect this may be hanging by a thread this weekend. I am going tonight, but I'm not going to give a full judgement until I go again later in the season to see if anything ends up changing/improving.

Just finished watching the walkthrough. Oof, again. I do think it's slightly better than Conjuring tho.

I did enjoy the used needle pit and body bag rooms, but that's it lol. Looked way too bright in there and not enough actors. It needs audio, especially from Jigsaw himself.

You really forget how impactful audio/sound design is until you see it done poorly lol Even KSF is guilty of a lackluster soundscape in their attractions honestly.

I appreciate their efforts but tackling an IP without the design or execution to back it up is just a bad look. Feels like they rushed into something they weren’t ready for quite yet. Maybe if they didn’t do The Conjuring this year and instead focused all their resources on Saw I might be singing a different tune.

It looks....very slightly better than The Conjuring. Even if you can tell which one got more allocation--both aren't really good houses.

It kind of looks like a community theater put on a production of HHN’s ‘09 SAW maze…

The pieces are there but… I don’t know, they don’t line up.

..I think the sound of the house is, alongside how certain costumes don't work as they should--is why it feels *off*.

The Conjuring--you have problems from here to three miles in tandem, but it feels like something *could* be seen as an example of what they want as an IP house. Could be that Lionsgate had a tighter leash on SFMM as opposed to WB.

It is media night so I’m pretty sure most bloggers will say positive things to retain their media credentials with the park.
