It's not horrible, I like it, I just personally think it's sloppy. The green lights look even and perfect, the white lights look thrown on.

BUT....overall, it's great!

Small Rumor, but some sort of How to Train Your Dragon attraction may replace Shrek in the far, far future. I could see it happening, but wonder what sort of attraction it could be.

Universal would have to be on better terms with DreamWorks for that to happen. But besides that, i hope that if something like that does replace Shrek that they completely demolish the building and start from scratch and build up. A property as cool as HTTYD deserves a beautiful and extravagant ride. If it was me, I'd either make it similar to the upcoming Pandora flight simulator (although who wants another simulator lol) or better yet, make it a modern version of the ET system.

If I remember correctly, I believe this same HTTYD rumor has floated around Orlando's Shrek attraction as well over the past year or so. I never put too much thought into the rumor but if its surfacing here, then I will have to ask my friend in Orlando (the FL version of galindoverhere ;) ) who is usually "in the know" of upcoming projects if there are any rumblings on that coast as well.

If we're going to demolish the Shrek building... then rather than building another building, we just add a family coaster in vein of Singapore's Puss-in-Boots coaster, but themed to HTTYD so that way we can see dragons "flying" next to Hogsmeade like Orlando   But seriously, another family coaster on the upper lot would be great.

I doubt it. DreamWorks and Universal are not on the best terms right now and the Dragon property has been fading in popularity.

Turns out the How to Train your Dragon rumor was a bunch of bologna... and it looks like I've got another rumor for the future of Shrek.

Apparently, Shrek (now bear with me), as weird as it may sound especially with the recent building of the new queue, along with the rest of New York street, will be repurposed and taken away for USH's version of "Race through New York". Thoughts?

Oh nice one, you really should try comedy club. I'm sure they'd eat it up!? -_-

That being said, i'll believe it when I see it. If it happens, atleast it'll hopefully be better than Shrek 4D's own sense of humor.

I just don't understand why they'd sink money into extensively refurbishing the attraction only to tear it out so soon.

Wouldn't they want to see if it does well in USF first? They seem to be going to great lengths to pull off this attraction, so I would assume porting it to our park would be inevitable if it were popular enough, but we don't even know if this thing is going to tank or not. Nevertheless, they seem to have confidence in this.

While I'm not thrilled about the possibility of porting Jimmy Fallon over here, I can't really discount it. I did notice in my past two visits there were a bunch of Employees waiting outside the attraction asking guests to take a survey. The Survey asked what I thought about the new improvements in Shrek and the whole show overall. It also asked what I would want to replace the attraction with. I noted this quite awhile back but the new exterior theming seems to be more generic looking (although beautiful) so to me it seems like they want to keep the building itself but not the Shrek I.P.

It would have to be pretty damn innovative, fun, and good enough to prompt repeat visits for me to want it ported over here. Cant wait for reviews from Florida. I'll of course save my judgment until then, but it seems extremely underwhelming and dated without even being open yet.

Plus...is having Jimmy on the tour not enough? I don't want him becoming a random mascot for the park.

...to add to this discussion, it's important to specify some sort of timeline. If you don't, I'm going to assume you're referring to 2016.

If this happens, it might explain why Cartooniversal is leaving.

I actually thought this would happen eventually. It seems like the convenient space to put that sort of ride in. I'll take that any day over Shrek, but still it's another friggin simulator, which I'm really disappointed about.

I would much rather they put in something like the Scooby Doo coaster from WB Movie World or some indoor wild mouse. At least something like that would add more coasters to the park.

If this is true, I will rejoice at the day Shrek leaves, but I'll be disappointed that the space won't be used to its fullest potential. This better be a darn good simulator to copy+paste from Florida.

Cartooniversal is going to change/be updated to tie into the rest of the new entrance buildings and facades.

You guys are freaking out a lot over a rumor that only has one source. Shrek will be here for awhile.

The Upper Lot is suppose to be a construction free zone for a year after Potter opens. After that year is up things can happen.

The USH higher-ups are concerned with the amount of 3D/Screen based attractions in Hollywood. The park is getting a lot of negative guest feedback from it. I can guarantee you we won't be getting Race Through New York.
