All I can say is - easily one of the most bad*** movies I’ve ever seen. After being somewhat disappointed in Prey sticking to the similar formula in a new time period, Badlands completely shifts up what’s come before. LOVED IT!

I was a 7/10. I liked a lot about it, but the tone and several scenes were too silly for me and jumped the shark, which knocked down my rating.

I had a blast with this, but you have to be prepared going in that it doesn't have the hard-edged, macho energy of the early PREDATOR movies. This is definitely the Disney version of what a PREDATOR film could look like, but it's probably the best version of such a thing you could imagine. Director Dan Trachtenberg avoids most of the traps that could have tripped the movie up, and he embraces big sci-fi adventure iconography in a very entertaining way.

Yeah this film was a ton of fun. Probably the most raucous movie going experience I've had since Endgame. The audience was cheering, laughing and clapping throughout. A definite crowd pleaser. It unquestionably softens some of the edges of the franchise and has some blatant Mandalorian influences in it, but I think it was for the best. Eventually repeating the formula of having the Predator drop into different time periods and locales would probably start to get a little stale. This begins to broaden the mythology more and makes me excited to see what comes next, especially if Trachtenberg is involved.
