Wow not too long ago people were saying they couldn't get enough of Potter, now its too much?

PF will be replaced more than likely with a train station, not to menation that Forbidden Forest has not been built, along with quite a few shops in Hogsmeade as well could be erected.

When it comes to what else could be done, possibly a wizarding duealing show/demostration for muggle in the theater of Sinbad, or a recreation of the dragon battle scene from the Tri Wizard tournament, the train station along with some forest would take over PF, but from everything that has been said, it seems to be that Mythos will be spared somehow, someway.

Mythos is 3rd party right? I mean it makes a ton of cash I'm sure they can find a way to make it work...

Well personally, I've always thought anything more was pushing it

I think you're gonna run into problems if you delve too deep into the world of Potter. You can't make an entire land just for fans of the series. It has to have a story that is accessable to every single guest. That's why the current WWHOP works. It's a very simple set up that is easy for non-fans, like myself, to follow. Start going into deeper stuff, and you're gonna lose a lot of interest. LC and Jaws are too very big plots of land. Add that to the current offerings, and you half almost half of a Potter theme park.

As much as I love Mythos, I don't want it to be spared. It would be ridiculous to leave it as the last remaining part of LC.

There's always too much of a good thing.

That would be a HUGE train station. Unnecessarily so.

So they're going to tear down the hogsmede gate and move it? Unlikely. And the forest doesn't need to be built. It'd be unnecessary.

A magic show would be terrible. I pray to god they aren't planning or even thinking about doing that.

Even if that is what they build, it seems like a huge reach just for the sake of more Potter, and for the most part a waste of space.

Taking over Amity makes complete sense to me. Taking over Amity AND the rest of LC is baffling.

They can have PF though.

I am really thinking about it, and if they are going to make a a train station, the tracks will more than likely run through where Sinbad is, and the station will take up some of that land. The only thing left is PF and Mythos. There's simply not enough space to put anything else. I personally think expanding into both parks and the island is too much, but if going into two parks is already set with the train, then there simply will not be enough room with the train station for anything to be done to the LC besides a Potter expansion.

As for the other argument, if you can't make an island for one series, then what is Jurassic Park? And don't give me "well it appeals to everyone, not just Potter fans." Potter has a bigger fanbase than JP has ever had.

Sigh.... It will all be worth it Potter fan or not I PROMISE YOU!! Listen when even Disney insiders are excited, jealous, and just straight in awe there is a reason. The next five years are going to be amazing and regardless of what anyone thinks right now in less than 12 months this site will be hopping with theme park fans, potter fans, and a new breed all in its own just waiting to get a glimpse of what is going up. I have said it before and I will say it again if your a theme park fan, the next 5 years will bring expansions and new attractions to the next level.

I'm excited. But if Potter (of which I'm a mega fan) takes up all of the LC and Jaws...well, my theme park fan side will be disappointed.

EDIT: Nevermind. Totally forgot about a convo I had a few weeks ago.

The debate was never about not making an island for one series. They've already proven that works. The debate is about how much is too much. When does one franchise ruin the balance of the entire park and/or resort. And fans have nothing to how accessible something is to the general public. The story and idea of an island filled with Dinosaurs is a lot more straightforward than Potter.

Eh. That's debatable. Potter really isn't all that difficult to grasp.

I'm not saying it is. But if you go up to someone and ask them about the two movies, they're gonna know a lot more about Jurassic Park simply because there is less to know.

You know, I posted something in another Jaws thread what a friend of mine told me. I blew it off as just wild hearsay because I was listening to insiders on message boards. But, now that I am reading this thread, a lot of you make excellent points. And I wonder how far off my friend's info was, other than Marvel leaving. If LC is to become Potter, then what else in the Potter universe can be created that will be a draw? The Forbidden Forest wouldn't be in my opinion, unless there is another amazing attraction (Flying car ride escaping Aragog and the man eating spiders, but wouldn't that be too much like Forbidden Journey???) and unbelievable details to the theme. And the Forbidden Forest was always seen at night, when it is creepiest. Probably wouldn't be so Forbidden during day light operating hours (unless its all indoors???).

Is it at all possible that maybe, just maybe, LOTR rights have been claimed by Universal and the LC area will wind up Middle Earth with a portion of Poseiden's Fury being claimed for Potter and the train station? The Hobbitt does come out next year and by the looks of the trailer, the movie is going to be awesome. A lot of people would jump at the chance to visit Middle Earth. I just don't know how well that area would transition to Potter, but hey that is why professionals are paid the big bucks to figure those things out while I am sitting behind a computer typing on a fan message board. LOL

Wrong, if each park has a max capacity of 30,000 people (which is roughly what it is), then you have to imagine at least half of them would buy 2 park passes to see both areas, which means you need a queue and enough trains in both parks with capacity enough to move close to 30,000 people a DAY, or near a million people a month. It HAS to be huge in order to occupy that capacity.

If your arguement was correct, then the whole train idea isn't even feasible.

Yea, but it's not going to need to fit that many people at all times. Look at the WDW RR. TONS of people ride that every day, and tons get on/off at every stop. Yet the stations are very tiny.

No need for a train station that big. And if there magically was a need for one that big, the train is a terrible idea. Which it is anyway.
