"Paradise" sign in New York area- Formerly "Paramount"?

One person I follow on Twitter posted a photo of the actual sign that is replicated at USF, where it shows "Paramount" theater (where the Mummy lockers are now) and it reminded me of something.

The USF version says "Paradise", but I swore when I first visited the park, just before official open in 1990, that it too said Paramount and I thought it seemed odd, since it basically was the name of a competing movie studio.

Am I completely mis-remembering things? I never saw the actual Paramount theater in my life before, so I didn't have that memory to compare it to or anything.

Here's a pic from 1991 where you can (kind of) see it did indeed used to say Paramount:
