I love the alabasta arc

And love them already somewhat setting it up, so excited for season 2

Sucks they could not get Jamie lee but the rest of the new casting looks great

I doubt it...but would be cool if we got a first look at Fan fest

so I attended the OnePiece Season 2 premiere last night (Thursday).
1000086437.jpg
LA was the 2nd stop

It was so much fun getting to see the first episode of Season 2 on the big screen + a bonus extended teaser for Season 2 after! The hype is real, the cast is great, the live-action series delivers! March 10th can't get here soon enough! I won't give any spoilers, but OnePiece fans will be satisfied & clamoring for more!

Here are a bunch of photos from the premiere

FREE Popcorn in fancy boxes. FREE soda & water was also provided (not themed). Sadly no devil fruit treats.

THE STRAW HAT CREW!!!
I got to say hi to Inaki (Luffy) as he was leaving the theatre (should've asked for a pic) & also got to say hi to Taz (Sanji), ALMOST got a pic with him but he got swarmed by fans. *sigh*

After the premiere, everyone left the theatre building to get photos on the red ("East Blue") carpet with three photo-ops

And of course... the iconic "Going Merry" ship

Lastly we got free swag in the form of Luffy's iconic hat along with an exclusive Luffy action figure with a Wanted poster as seen in the series

STORY TIME:
So the best thing happened when I was in the theatre lobby. I noticed someone that looked familiar, so I went up to him & said "hi". Sure enough IT WAS IAN OUSLEY, aka "Sokka" from the Netflix live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender! He was so nice & I was able to get a photo with him! He said they haven't seen any of Avatar season 2 (yet), but hopefully Netflix does a premiere event for it. Ended up running into him again before the screening, we both did a snack run haha.

Anyway, back to OnePiece....

FIRST TWO EPISODES ON THE BIG SCREEN! Trust me, it is worth it! The production quality is insanely good!

ONE WEEK UNTIL SEASON 2

This is the teaser they showed us after the premiere. Do yourself a favor & go see the first 2 episodes in theatres. It's worth it.

Forgot to post this letter from Oda, the creator of OnePiece in regards to the live-action series

In other news, we got a OnePiece crossover with Sesame Street, specifically Elmo

As a live-action only watcher who loved the first season, two episodes in season 2 may surpass season 1. With the basic world-building and introductory character development out of the way, we just jump right into the action with new settings and new antagonists. So much fun to be back in this uniquely creative world.

As a theme park junkie, I can't help but think that Lougetown was purposely designed to be proof of concept of the show's "Hogsmeade." Could see several elements easily transported to a land, right down to the "shoot the pirate ship" game in the middle of the town square.

I finished episode 1 yesterday of the second season

Such a strong way to start. So much World building, fun action and just character moments.

The main 5 are pretty much perfect for the roles, and think Buggy actor is having the time of his life

I doubt we get the whole anime done but man, this is going to be a great intro to people who want to get into One Piece and not try to red the like 100 books or 1,000 episode anime (which has sooo much filler)

I fell out of One Piece because of the filler but man, its such a great world. I'm glad its back with this, the show coming to fan fest and the new Anime coming in the next year or two that will cut the filler from the anime....its a great time to be a One Piece fan

I put one too many Zeros....its over 1,155 episodes, with the show having run weekly since 1999. It is an ongoing series and also includes 15 movies, 4 OVAs, and 14 TV specials

I'll also point out that a new Anime is being worked on that will more more just whats in the Manga then the current run

But this show is also just super nice to have, Death Note, Dragonball and so many other live action Animes just suck

Who ever is behind this is clearly a super fan who also knows how to adapt a story where maybe its not 1 to 1 but the spirit is very much alive
