So sweet! Something similar happened at my dance studio's recital. A little girl's father came home from Afghanistan just hours before his daughter's recital and was in the audience, but far enough back so she couldn't see him during the show. At curtain call, the director came out on stage and asked her father to stand as she explained to the audience what was happening. As soon as the little girl saw her father she ran into the audience and he picked her up. There wasn't a dry eye in the room as everyone gave them a standing ovation.
