Depends on the dates, but I think we'd be targeting August, so will report back (assuming she's seaworthy by then).

Also also, unrelated, but Dave Malloy's Black Swan adaptation is drawing a lot of buzz around Boston, and I have (quite literally) followed that man into the belly of a whale and back, so I am excited as hell

Rumors are expensive. L&T and DoR are asking for $150-$180, so $200 doens't feel out of the realm of possibility. That being said, I'm expecting a lot.

I still don't understand why they made some of the choices they did for the stage version.

Was this really that bad? I was hoping to catch it this fall, incredibly disappointing. Doubt it tours now too.

I mean, for me - and without specific spoilers - I was really disappointed that it diverged so much from the main tv storylines in favor of something that was messier and pretty garbled at times. Lots of talented people on and offstage here, and I just don't think the choices they made worked for me.

I am so excited for Phantom. I'll be in NY in early August to see Speakeasy Magick, Hadestown, and Viola's Room so hoping I can tack Phantom in there somewhere and just round it all out.

Ethical uneasiness in supporting Emursive aside, Speakeasy Magick is a fabulous production. That's a great lineup.

Yeah I was queasy buying the tickets for that reason but figured that there aren’t that many paying gigs for magicians so supporting a dying industry won out for me.

For whatever it's worth, I have been told that the magicians are largely very happy with the consistent work and arrangements they have with the production.

I highly doubt it’ll be ready in August. Sorry.
