That’s not how that works.

I'm being simplistic but generally speaking Blumhouse Productions maintains the litany of rights including ancillary use for the things they produce correct even if being distributed by company A, B, or C. So they don't necessary require distributor permission in licensing out those rights to my knowledge. Maybe I'm way off base but this is what i thought for things developed by them.

Look I know the scuttlebutt is that this movie's terrible but I'm still intrigued.

I'm glad the title change ended up not happening! This looks fun, despite all the hearsay.

I remember the same stuff coming out about Malignant and i ended up having a hell of a time with that one!
(it's not a good movie, but MAN do several sequences RIP)

I had the opportunity to see an advanced screening of this Mummy back in December... but was too lazy to get dressed & leave the house

There was another advanced screening this past monday, but of course i was at work. Really should've tried to swap shifts.

There's another upcoming screening for it on Tuesday, BUT... of course i have to work, also have an interview immediately after work & it's also supposed to downpour the next 4 days

At this rate, I'm going to be paying to see this damn movie when it officially comes out. My expectations are low, but hoping for the best.

Welp. After seeing this new trailer, I'm kinda glad I didn't make effort to swap shifts to attend tonight's advance screening..

This looks more generic possession/supernatural than it does "Mummy". At least we've got Brendan Fraiser's Mummy in 2 years.... thats not too far away :eyes:o_O

You know. Hey. It certainly looks like a Blumhouse film.
