I keep seeing that barrel roll in the first half of the layout in every mock POV. Is that actually going to be there?

Definitely concentrating on the buildings right now. Roof on the station and new framework. Also, I think the track in the station is new.

EDIT: Oop, totally forgot which thread I was in. Thanks for the move.

Looking at these new aerials, it doesn't seem like it. It looks to be a little twisty section like this one on Taiga. There also seems to be another similar section leading into the second launch, but it's harder to tell due to the lack of supports there.

I know we're not supposed to post behind the scenes video, but at the risk of getting banned- I saw this online of them unloading the crane:

Would that hole suggest the presence of animatronics?

We’ve expected that, but yes. That looks like a raptor is going to chase our launch.

That'll be pretty neat. I wonder if they'll use projections to do that for the second launch.

Based on the construction, that looks like it will just be a dark tunnel. There’s no throw room or backstage space for anything in there. At most, it may get a very light rock work treatment.

Strobe lights and sounds is all I’m expecting for the second launch.

So I know I am not to first to bring this up, but I am excited for the possibilities of the storyline of this attraction.

I think the general consensus is that on this coaster you will symbolically "be the raptor". I am assuming this will be Jurassic Park/World's version of Cheetah Hunt. Launching next to the raptor's running in their den similar to launching next to sprinting Cheetahs. I imagine the opening scene will play out similar to Manta San Diego, instead with the rumored animatronics. I think this will surpass the simple "be the blank" that is seen at many national and regional parks.

Part of me hopes they go for a more meta approach similar to Incredicoaster, where you are at the opening of Jurassic Park's/World's new raptor themed coaster and the of course something goes wrong while you're riding.

I think everybody needs to remember that it’s launching from an underground tunnel, so it’s going to require some extra speed to get it up and over even a 160 ft top hat. I’d expect this coaster to exceed 70 mph on the second launch and for it to be the most extreme coaster in Orlando.

It's not an underground tunnel, it's enclosed. It's not below the foundations. It's like the launch is at the lowest point, but it is not underground.

The majority of the launch tunnel is below the grade due to the significant difference in terrain height from the waterfront to inside JP.
Not entirely underground, but it definitely is below other foundations and the ground for the majority of it.
