Nah, it's probably just that track piece. Most of the s-bend supports aren't in yet.

Well, there's a certain order the track is being installed. It's kinda like painting a floor. Start at the farthest point (water side) and then do the side closest to the discovery center. Probably only a couple of more track sections over by the tophat return area and then back over to the double helix and back over to the tophat on the discovery center side. Then install the tophat. The spaghetti bowl portion will be in sections too. They have to get the rock work done and then continue on...plus all of the track has yet to be delivered. So it's kind of a dance.

While there is generally an order in place when erecting a coaster where accessibility is king, it also has to do with track availability. I'm not sure why they didn't finish the double helix but I wonder if it's because all that section track isn't there yet?

They have to clean up the area and move the cranes out of the center of the helix before they finish it up.

The track has all been here (by Epic Universe) for over a year now, if there was a problem with track availability they likely wouldn't start putting the section up at all.

They're putting up the easiest sections first, and leaving spaces open to make the site generally more accessible. For instance, the second support tower for the top hat would impede a lot of the work area they need for putting in the surrounding themeing, so they buried the footers to allow cranes and vehicles to move about more easily. Once they finish the lagoon wall in that area and get the remainder of the s-bend up, then we'll see the top hat be completed. I'm willing to bet come this Friday, the helix will be done.

Just saw another set of supports on the service road behind Hulk from Doom, looked like they were for the brake run.

Edit: More track just came in. Single spine, likely for the first half.

To those that have been- is the area looking much better with the raptor encounter side done and landscaped?

The double wall was absolutely atrocious. Like I was a pig headed to slaughter.
The pics with only one wall look so much better but I’m curious how that translates in person.

Since it looks like nobody answered and I was a few days behind here, I would say that the current state looks as good as it has since the beginning when they whacked all the trees. Construction is still obvious but better than just wasteland imo.

Once that helix is finished, hopefully track installation will start moving towards the top hat.

Got stopped in Toon Lagoon for a few minutes to let some more rockwork structure pass through:

Also caught parts for the switch track being lifted off of a truck:

I said I was glad this wasn't a one trick top hat pony. Now I expect to have 2 thoughts when I get off this machine, 1- WTH happened, I need to do this again, 2- but first I have to change my underwear. But in reality I only can look at it and enjoy the laughter.
