For fans of the U.S. television show "The Office", it may be interesting to know that actress Jenna Fischer (who plays Pam on the show) had her first acting gig playing an extra on the commercial for Jurassic Park- The Ride! She was paid only $100 and spent HOURS being on the ride over and OVER again! LOL. Despite who she is now, this is an interesting look at what it was like to be in the famous ride commercial (and one of my favorite ride trailers... LOVE the voiceover!).

Start it at 1:30.

Continues a bit more on Part 2:

I tried to see if I could be spot her "two frames" anywhere in the trailer, but it's hard to tell, lol. Either way, just an amusing bit of information on a now famous actress whose career started off with Jurassic Park- The Ride! Haha! Also, she mentions that when she recently re-rode the ride that "you don't even get wet" now. How funny that she mentions that, since as I'm sure most people here know, at certain times of year they use their newer brakes system to limit the "splash", and hell, even in the summer it still doesn't splash quite as much as even I remember getting splashed as a kid.

Anyway, here is, I'm pretty sure, the exact trailer she speaks of:

I would gladly spend hours on the ride to film a commercial. I would do it for 50$ even. That trailer remains one of the best theme park ads I've ever seen.

Can't believe she mentioned false advertising. I wouldn't think most people would catch on.

But I couldn't imagine being an extra on a water ride. Simpsons or Transformers perhaps, but water? Nope.

I think her story, or at least, the way she tells it, is HILARIOUS. I was laughing pretty good during most of it. Being an extra in a film or even a main star is a time consuming effort, and this was no different. The fact that so much water was involved being splashed on them during the night must have been awful after so many HOURS. She must have felt like she was on a ship in the middle of the Pacific during a storm or something! I thought seeing this story told was a gold mine, I mean, how often do you get to hear a story like that? Funny enough, I always DID think about what it may have been like to have been in that commercial. Of course, I thought about it more positively like "oh man... to be on that ride ALL day, and possibly be paid to do it... I'd have been so jealous!". But then you hear this story... LOL.
