They seem to want to do their own thing with this house. Charles Gray specifically said "We didn’t want to tie it to anything because most of the event is tied to some other tale, prequel, or existing story." So this isn't the invasion scare zone from HHN 27, and it isn't even a ghost town like some people were pushing (we're at a homestead in fact), it seems to be something completely different. And honestly, that's the best part... It's a brand new idea.

Very excited for this one. Finally our signs / fire in the sky house.

It is not.

Yes - but in the southwest, which is why rumors pointed to "Western" probably. In the article, it says they didn't want to do the cliche "Midwestern" setting (i.e. cornfields).

Speaking of logo PNG's to give. I like the logo, but I think this is a crap name for a house. Had it been just Invasion, I'd like it for the simplicity; but the additional subtitle feels like something that'd be indicative of having to translate it for international audiences (or to skirt past copyrights and trademarks).

They’ve talked about it in the past. The weird add-ons to house names (Alien Abduction, Caged Cannibals, A Spanish Haunting, Black Death Rising) are actually for copyright protection purposes. It’s easier to protect a phrase than one or two words.

TBH it's named that but we will call it and refer to it as just Invasion or Aliens, maybe Alien abduction.

Still feels like a shame--if only because I think a simplistic name could've been really well suited with this. Also a tad bit worried about location on this one, as it sounds like it'd be really ideal in a soundstage (and the spec maps on this house certainly haven't put it with a soundstage).

Anyway, loving this years HHN for Orland...the original houses to me all feel very different and along with the tech house, its cool to have two different Sci-Fi houses
