The Dead Vines and blah blah Inn one didn't have any music pumped in. The ice and pirates one have it b/c it's played through the normal park speakers.Ok, I swear they had music and some sound effects playing in the queues (minus Beneath the Ice)

Does anyone know if there is a way to avoid the $10 service fee when buying tickets for the event? Do they still charge that if you buy over the phone or at the gate?
Keep in mind tickets are more expensive at the gate as well.Does anyone know if there is a way to avoid the $10 service fee when buying tickets for the event? Do they still charge that if you buy over the phone or at the gate?
I just called SW to confirm and according to the woman on the ticket line the service free still applies even if buying over the phone or at the gate. Really want to visit this weekend but don't know if it's worth paying $50+ for a smaller event.I bought a season pass at the gate (well, technically inside the park) and no such fee.
That IS weird...so no more Bayou zone? When did they start closing off the path that led Infinity Falls to Mako and start making you use the bridge? Seems weird that they make you walk half the park unthemed and all shops closed to get out there
It was partially open with 3-4 actors out and one of the shack set pieces but anything past Infinity Falls was walled off. Totally forgot that the rest of the zone is back there also which makes it more confusingThat IS weird...so no more Bayou zone?

It had been only a few people wide most of the event because of construction on more than half of the walkway. I guess they were having crowding problems around there and decided to reroute traffic. Not to mention, that is the side of the walkway that floods. When did they start closing off the path that led Infinity Falls to Mako and start making you use the bridge? There is a lot of energy at SW HOS, I think it may have been my favorite event this yearSo I ended up going to the event last night - not going to write a full review, but wanted to make some points as a newcomer to the Orlando event:
- After going to HOS Tampa earlier this season, I was much more impressed with the energy of the actors here. Despite having more houses and scarezones, Tampa felt somewhat empty and low energy to me this year. From the moment we walked through the gates here, the actors were right up in our faces, and we got quite a few good scares in the zones.
-As far as set design goes, the houses are pretty minimalistic, yes. But the scares were relentless, as some rooms, especially in the waters edge and ice house, had actors coming out of nowhere from multiple directions. Can't even say how many great scares I got, way more than in the Tampa houses. Plus after 10pm, we were sent through each house only the 2 of us.
-I didn't get any drinks but enjoyed the themed bars and the dancers. Food options can definitely improve.
-The shows were perfectly fine for the event. I feel like if they can close up some of the dead zones and open more rides, this event can eventually become a serious cheaper alternative to HHN. As it stands now, it is a pretty great start for an event in it's first year, and I can't wait to see it grow.
It was honestly the most fun horror event last year for me..I assume it will only improve this yearAdding this to my Orlando trip in the fall, looked fun.
This year is the 20th anniversary of the all time classic movie 'Ghost Ship' ... would fit in great at the event!
