I’ve always been a sucker for my dogs growing up (a boy and his dog vibes) so this character just resonates with me. This is way better than I could’ve ever imagined!

That’s funny— I grew up with cats and got the cat vibe!

Honestly I was tearing up at the carved version of Toothless and Hiccup meeting, let alone actually doing it.

The Ice Dragon is also in action today as part of media previews--blasting people with it's ice breath in great form.

Looking at some of the media preview footage (sue me!), I can see why people were upset by the sightlines (sue me again!) but imo nothing really looks bad, you can just see into other parts of the park that already look good (Stardust Racers and Helios).

Nobody is posting Grump on socials and that makes me sad. Because it's gorgeous.

Nevermind. Someone posted him.

This looks fantastic. When this was first announced I genuinely didn't care. Finally watched the movie and now I'm incredibly excited!

I felt the same about this one too. I was surprised that I was sad I missed being able to actually pet him because during previews earlier we weren't allowed to do that. Although I've been back, I haven't done this one yet, but I will probably do that sooner than later because once the park opens the line will probably be impossibly long. lol

Glad to see the ice blast is working! Not long after it got installed it was going through the motions but nothing had come out of its mouth as recently as this past Tuesday.

Was waiting until we had ground level shots. The theatre building is atrocious and there was no reason for them to not plan and design better.

I didn't want to bog down the review thread, but I wanted to say more.

It's not that I don't want the characters, and dragons, I do. But I've been presented with bad options to pick from. So for me I look at it as the lesser of two evils.

Characters, walk around dragons, that's an easy future budget adjustment.

Building the theatre as they have is likely permanent, unlikely to be fixed or corrected, and if so, likely much more costly to do after the fact. The land is stunning, so for me, it's a glaring oversight. A mistake. It never should happen with the level of theming they have implemented elsewhere.

But of course, they probably could have afforded to theme the theatre, and have the characters... and now we ponder why the heck they made the choices they made?

Not gonna lie stardust when you First walk in and look to the left was really glaring, but I know if they could’ve did something about it they would’ve so it is what it is. Still a hit amongst the masses

Stardust doesn't really bother me much at all, I expect coasters to be visible at a Universal park, and there is no way to hide that beast of a coaster.

I think entertainment is very important to this park, so I would've made sure that came first. As trees grow, it'll get better. I also think entertainment matters a lot more to people than sightlines if they had to choose between the two for this example.

I very much hope the trees help, it's really the only miss for me in the land, that stands out.

I mean, I kind of like Stardust Racers being able to be seen. Berk is without a doubt the most Theme Parky looking land in Epic. To me Theme Parks have layers. Seeing Stardust makes you want to go farther into the park. I mean, no one actually thinks you have been magically transported to a cartoon viking village with theme park rides.

I am much more amused by the fantastic view of the sewage treatment plant as you peak the top hat on Stardust.

I noticed that as well on one of the few POV's that I watched of any ride. I thought that maybe UNI could pay Orlando or Orange County to paint them like flying saucers or something "epic". It would be the only themed sewage treatment plan in the nation.
