Sounds like they want to get the ball rolling on the F&F HRRR replacement as soon as they can.

Could it be part of the Hagrid work going on?

No wait, that's for IOA. Must be Hagrid's.

It's only been five years and it's still insanely popular. Isn't it a little soon to be getting rid of Hagrid's?

Intamin is adding more track for the expanded maintenance and inspection bay.

I’m trying not to get my hopes up… for all we know it could be for repairs at Gringotts.

But I’m sure permits would follow soon if it’s a new project.

Didn't you mention over on the Future of Simpsons at USF thread that construction work on the HRRR replace should break ground at some point next year?

Why would Intamin be involved this early?

If it closes next year, they’ll need to start producing the track soon. I think this is going to be a quick build to get some interest back into the current resort after Epic opens.

Probably much earlier than now even, if they’re designing a new ride to start building soon.

I'm not saying closure isn't imminent or Intamin isn't part of this, but I think the Occam's razor here is "upgrades to Gringotts in parallel to Hagrid upgrades" makes more sense for immediate permitting (like the other IOA one) than "omg this is for HRRR".

Intamin wouldn't need a NOC till they started on site construction though. If it is a rockit replacement, that's at bare minimum a year out right? Intamin wouldn't be involved in tearing out the existing ride. Seems the gringotts work is more likely.

The only small hint might be the difference in language.

The notice of commencement for the IOA permit is: 'Mechanical equipment design, fabrication and commissioning services' and for USF is: 'Professional services'.

The USF is far more vague and if it was upgrades similar to IOA, I'm sure they would put down the same description.

Doesn't mean for sure it's for HRRR but it is different.

Am I naive that they could still close this in 2025 and have it ready for late summer/post HHN debut? If it’s a coaster with minimal theming I don’t see how this still can’t be a 2026 addition.

I mean, the odds of it opening the same year as Hollwood's new coaster is rather small imo. I can't see uni just reusing the existing ride building. Anything is possible though.

I have a feeling Rockit will stick around for another year.
