Assuming the security
Line will be way shorter at Helios entrance . Mainly because all other guests will be going through the same security , unlike city walk which has multiple security check points based on where you are staying.

Only exception is if they did securiry
Before boarding a bus. Which I suppose is possible ?

The bus drop off points are outside of a security controlled area so folks would need to get screened again as security screening happens in front of the turnstiles at Epic.

So security is actually inside the building before you step on the walking path . Interesting .

That’s essentially how it is at the Grand Californian and (I think) Mira Costa, too!

California Adventure and Tokyo DisneySea. They’re the other two examples I’ve seen in person of hotels that sit “inside” their respective theme parks.

So to access Bar Helios as a non-hotel guest the assumption is you'd have to use a ride share app, drive, or use the shuttle from north campus to get to the front of the hotel.

If you're already at Epic but not a hotel guest that last option is inconvenient unless there's going to be a shuttle from the front of Epic to Helios, which seems redundant for the most part.

I wonder if there will be dedicated parking for people specifically going to the bar in their own car?

I mean, isn’t Bar Helios catered to the hotel guests who want their own private bar after paying a premium to stay there?

Edit: I’m not saying that’s how it always is or how it should be, but it doesn’t seem that crazy to kind of keep it limited to the hotel guests in this instance.

Are you saying in terms of making it a little more difficult to get there if you're not a hotel guest? IIRC though it was mentioned previously that it's open to the public, I was just wondering out loud more than anything about how easy it would be to get there since you can't enter from the park.

What’s with all the random Greek in the dome star chart at Bar Helios?

Seems to be mostly names written in Greek characters, some not even Greek names (Dan, Susana, Solomon, Murphy; also some Greek names like Stefanos, Maria, Christophoros; and then also just some random words in Greek: σημάδι (‘sign’), τρυποφράχτησ (a type of bird)).

I don’t really understand what they’re meant to represent - doesn’t seem to correlate to astrology in any way. Maybe it’s just random Greek to code it as mythological or mystical?

Relates to something else that’s been strange: Luna is Roman / Latin, Helios is Greek.

Ahhh interesting, didn’t realize the food being served is Greek food.

Makes a little more sense why there would be Greek writing, although nothing written in the dome is food related -it’s mostly just random names.

The entire hotel is a modern take on Mediterranean architecture, (at least according to Universal,) and the dining options reflect that as well.

The dome is awesome. Here’s to hoping a stay won’t be required!

A stay may not be, but dining reservations may be for the first few weeks, until things calm down.

The “at least according to Universal” is doing a lot of work there - haha!

Looking at all the restaurant names and food descriptions now and def see the attempted Mediterranean connection.

Excited to see it in person when the time comes.
