I think when they said that it's because of the views of the park. Which is pretty cool so I understand why they said that

Oh no I know. The thing that sucks with these rooms is that you’ll almost never use them in a circumstance where you’ll get to enjoy the view :sob:

Well, like they said, if you're at a wedding there that would be amazing. You can definitely enjoy the views then I think

First thing a conference organizer will ask: “Are there blinds we can lower? I don’t want our attendees distracted.”

Yes. Outsiders to business usually are envious of people attending a business conference/convention outside their home area, especially if its a exotic/adventurous/entertaining location. The truth of the matter is that generally your only experience of the host city is the airport, long boring 12 hour days in a conference room, and the plane rides to and from the convention. Not a whole lot of fun, and at the most, a few drinks in the adjacent bar/restaurant with your associates at the end of the day. One reason you see, if the family comes along, at the Royal Pacific convention resort....one parent and kids at the pool, and the one parent and kids in the park. And the business spouse (male or female) nowhere to be seen, since they're locked into a conference room for most of the waking hours.

I just saw a TikTok video of the view from Helios with the big main fountain operating (and clean now!)- what a view!

Ha ha, exactly . These conferences are only “fun” for family members . The rest of us have to sit and stare at power points and listen to motivational key note speakers. Plus the downside is after a long and boring day , you then get to hang out with your family who are grumpy and tired from being in the parks all day , instead of the bar. So I usually don’t bring the family… lol.

Speaking of sight lines, this is the first view I’ve seen showing what the pool will be like. I personally find giant warehouses very chic, relaxing, and romantic. Very industrial modern.

I hope that impact from ground level isn’t as severe as it seems from this drone shot.

Its lobby and restaurant level as well as the rooftop Bar Helios (180 feet in the air, accented by a sundial-like cartouche and a printed star map on the bar’s acoustical ceiling) are open to all park guests

This is great news but that 180ft is quite a bit off. It's 123ft above park level and 107ft above lobby level.

Wouldn't elevated land affect those numbers? Maybe it's 180ft from ground level?

Or, most likely, to the very tip top point of the hotel on top of the dome.

180' sounds a lot like, as tall as we can go without FAA lights. One more floor would have put them over the limit.

Yeah - I just realized even if it did, there’s not 60ft of difference. This is why I write. Haha.

Hmm. I wonder how entry and exit will be handled then? Will everyone at Helios be required to have Epic tickets?

My guess is that you will need to show a Helios room key to get into the private entrance!
