Yeah, no matter how one feels about the finale - it’s STILL Stranger Things.

But I’d argue for a compilation house. IMO

Something else I will also note: Can anyone please tell me a year where a speculation map this early was spot-on? Even if it is right, something always changes.

At least it didn't/hasn't stayed around as consistently and annoyingly as TWD. Those were dark and evil times, and not in a good way.

I agree with that, that was Horrific. Amc was Greedy. And the show turned into a dumpster fire bore fest.

Joking aside, I will say the most recent ST house was a little underwhelming. Couldn’t believe I e joyed the ‘19 house more than the ‘23 one!

Stranger Things houses, to me, have been more of a tribute to the show than an actual haunted house. We get those every year. FNAF and Fallout are examples from last year.

I love when they take IPs and make a NEW story from the IPs. I don’t remember the last time they did this with a movie or show. The last one that comes to mind was Dreamwalkers in 2007. But I’m sure there has been one since then. It’s easier to do it with the horror adjacent properties (Weeknd, Wyatt Sicks, etc.).

And maybe it’s just my naivety. Maybe the rights holders don’t want this. They want the exact property they created displayed. Sometimes this works well. Insidious from last year and Exorcist: Believer from 32.

Yeah, this was my reaction as well. While I never experienced any of the Walking Dead houses, I remember reading a lot of the comments on them and the only TWD house which seemed to get universal praise was the last one.

And while I know everything is subjective and all, but the first Stranger Things house was good! I would not insinuate it was a bad house whatsoever.

Haha yes, obviously most of my experience with both properties was in Hollywood but having done Stranger Things on both coasts … they were bad! So my statement is more about the quality of those houses than anything else.

I'll never understand the hate that the ST houses get on here lol - but regardless, the comparison to TWD at HHN is wild.

TWD was at the event 5 years straight.

ST has been at the event 3 times TOTAL, spread over 5 years. And it's been 2 years since it's been here.

(TWD also got a permanent walkthrough on one coast, but I digress lol)

Honestly my thought on the Stranger Things houses are similar to my thoughts on the show: the first house and first season were great but that’s it. I could go without them doing season 5, especially if it means we’ll get Welcome To Derry/IT or other better IPs that haven’t been represented yet. I get that Stranger Things brings in crowds but honestly just like others on here, I care more about what I want to see
