Just to toss some things out there..
Wondering why at almost the start of this thread, people are already talking about wanting to bring certain IPs back that we literally just had. The whole M3gan thing and FNAF - you got them. Be happy you got them in some form. I don't believe we want to start the wash, rinse, repeat cycle again like they did with TWD. The result of the repeated TWD years made me hate it so much, I stopped watching it. Sometimes too much of something makes it no longer a good thing.
I understand certain properties are going to repeat themselves in some form as the years go by because they are iconic (i.e. Jason, Freddy, Michael). Ok, I get that. But do we really need to keep repeating others - Black Phone, FNAF, etc? No, no we don't. HHN does not need to become the Blumhouse of haunts. Endless sequels are boring and lazy, and it's just frustrating and annoying.
I would much rather see them really go after some of the more creative and well made newer IPs like Sinners. THAT would be a killer house, and it's not the same old story, and it wasn't thrown together for a quick buck. There are also still many classic IPs that have never been touched (looking at you Phantasm or Fright Night or Lost Boys). I could make a giant list of some of the classics we've never seen at HHN. Why settle for more of the same when there is so much more to tap into?
I think discussion sometimes gets in a rut with the whole "oh this IP has a sequel coming out next year, so let's put it at HHN". NO! Let's NOT!
Of course, this is just my opinion. People love what they love. Just going for a little perspective injection.
