Once again, not to offend.. but this is the EXACT thought I got when reading the list of possible IPs - wth, is the event now only for middle school boys? To be fair, I have not yet watched Fallout, but after all your talk about it, I will give it a shot as it seems it is likely to come and I understand now that it's not cheesy or unoriginal as I first speculated. The rest of it tho? Let's say I'm looking forward to originals.

Also, that hat is generic and below the standards of HHN. Whoever designed that should be sent to Shadybrook.

I'm not a big FNAF fan - but it has existed for well over a decade now. I don't really associate it with kids anymore, because most of them have grown up lol.

I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts on Fallout - you may be surprised to know that Fallout itself has existed for 28 years!

I gotta hard agree here. Merch has been declining way below the quality level it should be for HHN over the last couple years.

I know I'm going to sound like a jerk here and I am sorry but I'm just being honest.

Last year in particular was abysmal from both a design and quality standpoint. The early merch that was churned out looked senseless and random and, for lack of a better word, cheap. The Sinister/Surreal logo they slapped onto the pale gray tote bags that they pumped out for $60? Why? The Ghostbusters hats they had with the villain on it was so poorly ironed on and so many were just straight up peeling off. Yet it retailed for what? $30-$40 bucks?

I don't mean to sound negative but it really is concerning how poor quality and uninspired so much of the merch has been. It's too early to tell how this year will fare based off the fact we are in early stages but if last year and these few designs from this year are any indication, I'm not going to hold my breath for anything better.

But as long as people keep buying them and nobody is holding them to the quality standards they'll just keep pumping it out. *Shrugs*

I personally dig the new logo.
Reminds me of the "evil takes root" from HHN23 I think.

Am I right in thinking that the summer merch drop tends to have nothing to do with how the actual event ends up? People on r/hhn are speculating that the vine motif might hint at them trotting out the Pumpkin Lord again, but it's not like the neon graffiti look of last summer carried over into the event much at all.

The rumored IP lineup is... interesting. I'd be very hyped for Fallout and Friday the 13th, not hyped at all for FNAF, Terrifier is a big question mark (haven't seen it yet) and WWE I assume would be like the Weeknd house where I'll just take it in like it's an original. They're very varied titles on paper but in some ways it would feel more unified than usual under kind of a "trashy middle school summer vacation in ~2009" vibe. Like these are all things you watch or play on the pleather sectional at your friend who's Juggalo-curious's dad's house while the AC blasts.

Yep. Almost has nothing to do with the theme of the event at all. It's just a quick way to get it out as a cash grab :lmao: :lmao:

I gotta say that I'm so excited for FNAF. It was fun schlocky horror to me as a kid and shaped a lot of my love for horror now. I still have a really soft spot for it in my heart, and I've wanted an HHN FNAF collab since they did the original house at Fright Dome.

I have to imagine we get a lot of interesting merch this year with the rumored IP lineup.

That's exactly what I was going to say the logo looked like.

I know a lot of people share this opinion since we are possibly getting IP’s like WWE, FNaF, and Fallout in the same year. But on the other end we are getting some of the most bloody, aggressive, and just gruesome Ips with Friday the 13th and Terrifier.
The “this lineup was made for middle school boys” judgement is completely an unfair thing to say when you are literally getting Terrifier (which imo is one of the most crazy horror film franchises of all time when it comes to gore)

It just doesn’t add up.

The only merch worth a damn last year was the Mel's Die-In shirt imo, it was the only thing I got.

I think this early drop is just showing they're going back to basics for the overall aesthetic.

Can only speak to the TV show, not the game, but Fallout is some of the smartest sci-fi comedy I've seen in years, with political satire at its heart. Adult themes for sure.

Haven't seen Terrifier yet either, mostly because all the online critics warned it's the hardest of hard Rs--gore for gore's sake not my thing. I'm sure 8th grade edgelords love it, but I wouldn't call it a "middle school" property per se.

When F13 first came out, I was too young to see it. I get daily mail from AARP now. It's as close to a generation-spanning horror IP as you'll find.

The median age of WWE fans is somewhere between 34 and 54. May not be your cup of tea, but the people watching are mostly adults.

Yeah, FN@F is a kid-adjacent property at best, but no worse than nuGhostbusters or Stranger Things. And that's one of ten that fans have been begging for over a decade now and will move merch.

Speaking of merch, agreed there, this early stuff looks like crap.

I honestly really like the preview merch it is giving me old Halloween vibes all over again from HHN 2022. When I go for my visit to Orlando then I'll for sure pick up some HHN items. I love the design.

I wonder why they're doing this now and not for an announcement of tickets or a house. Want to get this out in front of guests coming for Epic?
