I don't even know about "changed" as much as the natural way rumors roll.

This has been an odd year where the "noise" surrounding rumors ebbs and flows pretty drastically. It doesn't mean anything has actually changed with any of them. Just the whispers about them.

If Poltergeist is coming again I would hope it to be a new take and not a carbon copy of the 2018 house. I feel like the “other side” scenes could’ve been stronger thinking back on it. Don’t get me wrong I still enjoyed it a ton but I’d like something fresh still.

Unfortunately I don't see it being Bloodengutz with Fallout as an obvious dark humor house and Scary Tales often skirting the line of being a dark humor house.

That's assuming that the snowflake is Scary Tales, which I'm not convinced of. There's been some speculation that it could be something else Winter or Christmas related.

Poltergeist coming back to Orlando doesn't make sense to me. I have a feeling that's the rumor on the Orlando map that's BS. Everything else sounds about right.

Thing is, it's clearly coming back to Hollywood. There's always a chance that is something both coasts can share, and I get the sense Orlando definitely enjoyed doing it back in 2018, so it's not out of the question they'd do it again given the chance.

Hollywood repeats random IPs/originals though lol. 2021 they did Exorcist, 2022 it was Killer Klowns, 2023 they did Holidayz In hell and last year we got a semi repeat in TCM Legacy of Leatherface. Also Hollywood's version of Poltergeist was notoriously budget cutted so idk it makes sense to me they would want to bring it back. Orlando doesn't typically do IP repeats, I believe the only one they've done is American Werewolf in London. So to me it doesn't make sense!

Yes, Orlando doesn't typically do IP repeats. But they've done it before with AWIL, and they can very well do it again with Poltergeist.

Also, look at it through this angle. Say Hollywood is doing Poltergeist and Orlando is doing a completely different notable ghost IP (eg, The Conjuring)...now all of a sudden it doesn't make a lick of sense why Hollywood would be doing Poltergeist when Orlando's doing the shiny new ghost IP. And before anyone say HW had The Weeknd all to themselves, Orlando didn't do any kind of equivalent that year, that was HW's own doing. But in this proposed scenario Orlando would have a ghostly equivalent, which is truly something I don't think they've ever done. Most likely as it wouldn't make any sense to do so.

Adding on here, it sort of depends how you define repeat. AWiL (only one that was effectively scene-for-scene copy), Halloween, Insidious, and TCM have all had multiple houses based on the same film or a very similar selection of films. And that’s just since 2013. Nothing yet suggests this would be a carbon copy of the first house, and therefore this could be just another example of a pretty common occurrence for Orlando.

EDIT: And to @Tobias point, would be strange for us to be getting a separate ghost IP like the Conjuring when Hollywood is receiving Poltergeist. Of course, speculation maps are always just that, so all in flux.

Looking at the map, there are a couple symbols I do find intriguing, both of them being at the original Sprung tents.

First, we have the Chain holding up a Wanted sign. I know folks wanna' say Hatchet and Chains, but why was the symbol changed when they could've easily kept the previous one with the eye and eyepatch and the chain?

Secondly, there's the Classic Broadcast Tower. I know one might think Bloodengutz (which I would be fine with, mind you.), but @Legacy did make a particular comment on a potential rumor of Meets Meatz returning in some fashion which makes me feel this symbol is rather apt. After all if they end up on a food show, it does need to be broadcast.
