so it could kinda be like the blumhouse zone lol. the main characters could be on stages and the party goers in tuxedos walking the zone. it would had work the same as blumhouse. or like CRYPT TV

Except, legitimately, worse. Especially because it would have to include Time Warp.

So take your most crowded, non-scary zones and add a bunch of performers and guests dancing.

I am legitimately getting anxiety thinking about it.

Hmm, speaking of nightmarishly crowded non-scary photo-op zones with a possible musical component...

...Beetlejuice zone?

Maybe it would be better if all the performers were just on a stage, and guests had a designated place out of the main path where they could sit and watch the show...

...wait...

Back to TLOU2 - the discussion of location for the house is very interesting to me. While there are a lot of varied environments in the game, they pretty much all are in Seattle.

As much as I enjoyed the first house, I was disappointed that we didn't get a sequence in the hotel basement in Pittsburgh. Hoping they rectify that and give us the Hospital basement if TLOU2 indeed comes.

Think it all depends on whether they align with the release schedule of the show and split the game into two separate houses at two separate event years, or just have one house covering the whole game regardless.

If aligned with the TV show approach then no hospital basement and no rat king, as that section of the game is currently not expected to be in season 2 of the show, but season 3 instead. However, if they are going for a one house and done covering the second game then it will be in.

Given the popularity (and tickets sales/merchandise potential) doing one house for Part II makes little commercial sense. I’d fully expect there to be two houses coinciding with the release of seasons 2 and 3 of the show, even if based on the game rather than the show. Therefore I’d hold back on expectations of rat king making an appearance just yet - yes it’s perfect HHN material but if you are planning a third house in future you’d want to save it for then.

There’s plenty of stuff in the first half of the game to make the second house work without borrowing from the second half of the game.

And then all the guests not familiar with an obscure slice of U.S. pop culture can get offended by guests screaming obscenities! (Hell, I went to RHPS before a lot of you were born, and even I was offended by some of the new callbacks I heard at the HHN version.)

In all seriousness, my guess is whatever is left of Fox has big plans for the 50th anniversary, bigger than a zone at an Orlando Halloween event.

2009 had big inflatable arch ways lol
I remembered it, found the pic online,
and these weren't horror or Halloween related really, it was just regular inflatables. but they look ok

Yeah this seems like the best case scenario for me.
It’s purposeful that these houses keep coming out during the seasons of the television show as they release. Since it’s been confirmed they are splitting part 2 into two seasons since the game is so large, I would expect HHN to do something similar. Maybe not exactly how HBO is chopping it, but definitely something similar.

Yeah, I think that's the biggest question. They'd also have to figure out a way to differentiate the 2 houses, if they go that route.

"The Last of Us 2"
"The Last of Us 2: Part 2"

I have to imagine that Season 2 will end at
the confrontation between Ellie and Abby at the theater.

If that's the case, then they'd have to pull from anything prior to that - which would include
Eastbrook Elementary, The Tunnels, Hillcrest, Ellie's encounter with the Seraphites, The Flooded City, and the Aquarium.
Lot to pull from!

Previews for season 2 show Issac at the WLF base, who Ellie never meets and never visits in the game. While the second season likely ends at the theater, I think it’s showing all of Seattle. First episode is Jackson, then eight episodes that bounce between Ellie and Abby for each Seattle Day, final episode is the theater.

Season three is the farm and an expanded California.

This would make a lot of sense. That would require a LOT of stretching for California though! If this were to be the case, I could see them not wanting to split the house into 2 separate ones.

If history is any indication - with USH announcing their HHN starting Sept 4; it’s more than likely that Orlando’s event starts the week before on Aug 29.

No monsters house in 2025. It needs a break. As for IPs I could see Last of Us 2, Terrifier, and a classic like F13th. Total wild card, they finally figure out how to bring Scream to the event.

As for the originals I think we definitely see one house from Slaughter Sinema. Beyond that I expect two sequel houses of former greats. After the absolute debacle that was HHN 33, the fans deserve something aimed at them. Plus with Mike being back in the drivers seat, I have high expectations for this year. I think he’ll swing for the fences.

Either give Mike back control of the Twitter account, or let him guide the socials a bit more. They were much more interesting when he would post on there.

Ohhh don’t get me started.. The peak of social was mid 2010’s for Universal. Unfortunately the majority of their talent was either cut during Covid or left.

This all sounds right to me. Monsters needs a several year long break.

As far as sequels, I'm curious what we could see. (I've always kinda wanted to see a sequel to Hive but I know that wasn't well-received)

My assumption was always that Universal Monsters's inclusion in Vegas was the death knell for them, at least in Orlando. I'm curious how they'll approach that IP slot in the future though, since it's been a while!

As for sequels, I think Slaughter Sinema is a safe bet (Mardi Gras Murders? Killer Kringles?), I feel a little less safe but still willing to bet on a scarezone adaptation (Invasion? Path of the Wicked?), and a Legacy Sequel (PsychoScareapy was referenced in the Tree Graveyard Boutique...).

It's a nod to the 2007 house, Psychoscarepy: Home for the Holidays. The same letter was used on the website that year.
