Thinking about it, Hatchet & Chain feels like a pretty good choice considering a western house is gonna' stand out a bit more as you don't normally see them at the event.

Now I feel the general consensus is Mari Gras Murders would be a great choice...but maybe not in a year where there could be multiple BIG slashers filling that spot.

It's just like I would love to see a house of Zyborgs, but that ain't happening in a year where you might have Fallout.

Yeah, Mardi Gras Murders felt unlikely as soon as Terrifier started gaining steam.

Some very early spec on what locations I think will change (if the current rumors stick, which of course can change at any moment):

SS23A - Pirates stays.
SS22 - FNaF moves here.
SS23B - Scream moves here.
SS24 - Urban Inferno stays.
SS25 - Fallout moves here.
F&F - HoB4 moves here.

Sprungs all stay the same.

Hatchet and chains wasn’t my favorite section but it always stood out to me. Pretty unique I think, can’t remember a western house off the top of my head. Fingers crossed for the lagoon show to make a return finally

The first photos of the FNAF house are gonna hit insanely hard, especially anything with Springtrap.

Sucks WWE seemingly didn't pan out.

I just don't understand interest in Fallout, I'm old but even my kid hates that game.
Same with Zyborgs. I likes Mardi Gras murders sooo much more, Zyborgs was more comedy to me

Echoing Horror Lover, Urban Inferno is...a weird choice.

With Orlando using ideas and concepts from Singapore with Dark Zodiac and from Hollywood with Monstruos last year; the idea of a concept from Hollywood coming to Orlando is honestly not out of pocket. But Urban Inferno...is a weird choice among weird choices. Makes me wonder what the rationale would be in that.

Odds are it'd be based on the Fallout TV series released last year (right as 2025 development began); which makes sense--as it is the biggest Amazon Prime Video TV series of all time for viewership. It is essentially the Stranger Things of the event this year; if it pans out.

I'll check it out if it comes, but unlike ST, none of my 3 teenagers know about the show, so that's why I'm confused. They are obsessed with Stranger things

I'd highly give it a watch either way--it was some of the best TV released last year from a pre-existing material; and if you liked Westworld, then you'd be happy to know the show is actually produced by Jonathan Nolan (and had directed three of the episodes).

It's also an expansion of the universe, so you don't really need to have context off hand of pre-existing games unlike that of TLOU; where that adapts the linear narrative of Part 1.

but the fast and furious area with their tight small hallway setup is perfect for FNAF.
that's what I said when Chucky came out. that the fast and furious building would fit perfectly.

unless they made a scarezone of WWE

the show is really wonderful I think. it's pretty unique in some ways. it's a little kinda like the last of us but lighter in tone. some parts felt like mad max. it's never boring. it's pretty quick. funny in some parts. EXCELLENT world building.

No idea but I’m going to kind of go around with guesses and hopes starting at the front. With T3 I’m speculating that’s NOT what it’ll be but maybe it served as an inspiration.

SS23A - Pirate theme

SS22 - Fallout

SS23B - Director or Usher house (I know neither likely)

SS24B - No Clue, but I’ll just say whatever this Urban Inferno is.

SS25 - Scream

F&F - FNAF (Please God No)

T3 - NOS4A2 (Joe Hill Novel)

T4 - Terrifier

T2- Invasion

T1 - Hatchet & Chains

I’ve wanted a space original for a while now, so I am hoping it is a space original. They did have an invasion house on the spec map a few years ago that didn’t make it to the next map or even the event, so hopefully it sticks this time.

Aiello is big into HHN lore. It wouldn’t surprise me one bit for him to bring back an event staple like Scary Tales.

Isn’t WWE the trash bags since, you know, it’s trash?

Don’t worry Terrifier fans. Terrifier can be the bloody film reel.

I was pretty indifferent on WWE returning to HHN, but I'm not sure why we're acting like it was a bad idea. I'm not gonna pretend I understand much of the appeal of it, but just like The Weeknd, I could tell from the imagery/tone alone that it would've been a great property to bring to the event. Either way this is a bonkers IP lineup, like one that rivals 29 and 32.

Not a bad guess -- but in terms of "HHN nostalgia" fan-service and Universal seemingly pulling out the big guns this year with a Murderers' Row of IPs, I wonder if we might finally get an H.R. Bloodengutz sequel. Everything blends these days, but may have one of the first big houses from him running the event, so I could see him wanting to revisit it.

I’m not sure if my comment came off as a joke or not, but I was intending it as a joke. I know WWE has plenty of fans that would have loved to see the property used. I personally don’t like wrestling, but that doesn’t mean it wouldn’t have been a fun house. I’m not a fan of The Weeknd, but I thought his house was fun.

I’m actually one of the few that enjoyed Penn & Teller: New(kd) Vegas at 22. So I know that just because a property isn’t horror, doesn’t mean it won’t work as a house.

TLOU was always my #1 wishlist IP.

#2? Fallout. So I'd be insanely stoked lol

I think the spec here seems pretty on point. Very intrigued by the originals here

I really hope the symbol that seems to suggest a Scary Tales themed to Christmas stories sticks around. That’s a very cool concept.
