I would imagine Universal would stand to make more money with the wristband approach discussed above? The holding pens have become so over crowded that it isn’t easy or comfortable to grab a bite to eat or even a drink for that matter when you are packed like sardines.

I remember waiting for AHS to open (2016 I think?) by Hello Kitty and there were maybe 100 - 200 people there. It’s absolutely wild how much things have changed in 10 years.

I definitely think that plays into it! Give people the opportunity to spend more money and they'll take it.

Short Answer, No.

Longer more detailed answer,

When it comes to figuring out what's going in the event, it can come from a variety of info, one of them being costumes. That can be a very easy way of figuring things out, especially when you have an iconically distinctive look. There is no mistaking Jason for any other character, and conversely there is no mistaking the Grabber for anyone else either.

Second, we already know from bioreconstructs aerials there's a yellow VW Beetle in the outdoor section of the house. That is very much linked to F13 and not linked to the Black Phone whatsoever.

And speaking of outdoor sections, it makes sense they'd try a literal outdoor section for a F13 house. But it would make zero sense to do that for the Black Phone 2 which is set in winter and the obvious Florida air and heat would betray the setting to a hilarious degree. (Meanwhile they're working on the AC units for one of the new tents to make sure that house actually fits the cold setting for the Vikings.)

Finally, with FNaF already having a house this year, I don't see Blumhouse having two properties as houses.

Just wanna say, thank you for making an actual response with good points, gotten too many people just saying "no" with no follow-up!

Yeah, I'm very much in the same boat that would like a wristband approach to Stay and Scream. Avoiding the crowded pens and being able to relax and/or hit up under cover in AC would be a lot better. Plus if the weather is rainy, it's far easier to take shelter!

And musing a bit more on that doll/toy house, if they're rolling with toys attacking humans in a toy store...then that would be small regular sized toys attacking humans, right? While I do like the idea, it's hard to shake that the last time they did something like that was....Chucky: Ultimate Kill Count, which didn't turn out the best here in Orlando. Personally, I'd prefer the just have them human sized a la' Dollhouse of the Damned, or "shrink" us down to their size a la' 2009's Chucky: Friends 'til the End.

Yes. However you paid for the ticket (Daily ticket, AP, Scream Early) If you’re in the park before close then you can wait in the S&S area or whatever they’re doing this year.

Awesome, thanks for the info!

Question that I forgot to ask considering the new style of S&S that is being proposed, are we still saying main gates will close at 5 and reopen at 6 with wristband guests inside for an hour leadtime or are we proposing a continuous flow with the main gates never closing?

This is just an early rumor so there’s a lot we don’t know. Come event day and they could still use the old S&S system.

But are there also still rumors that there may be *nothing* and everyone has to leave, and then re-enter?

Especially when it rains... virtually no shelter from the rain outside the occasional window awning on a facade.

I think they'll clear the park of regular non S&S guests before letting the masses in. I think the general goal is to reduce the stress of setting up proper stay & scream areas each night and manning those positions.

I will say, I hope they have more than enough wristband distributions site if this is their new approach... Disney will occasionally have issues with checking tickets and giving wristbands out.

That would cause havoc at the front gate. It already stretches out across the bridge to NBC on most event nights, just with general admission guests.

Speaking of which, has anyone heard anything of the tiered opening of houses again this year? Like last year some houses opened at like 5:30, 6:00, then 6:30. That was absolutely wonderful.

My ultimate question with the S&S changes: will all the houses now be opening at the same time? Or will some still be at 5:45?

I basically asked the same question. There wasn’t much response comes so I assumed that means nobody has really heard one way or another. I do hope that there is the tiered opening again. That allowed me to hit five houses in the first hour last year. Certainly made the rest of my night easier to navigate the other houses.

Hopefully you can get the “over 21” wristbands at the same time.

Honestly, I think that wristband is useless. They still check you each time, so I wouldn't bother with it

IDK, I've seen people lining up for hours to get into S&S, wrapped all the way back to Schwab's, if you have people in the park they will find a way to line up somewhere and clog everything up.

The issue is that S&S operations overtake a large chunk of USF's NY, San Fran and Springfield area, and becomes a mess for day guests. Day guests are already penalized with shorter park hours, and the hordes of HHN fans descending into the park blocking off areas makes it an additional pain point.

Ideally, some of the more popular houses this year have their queue setup early so people can queue up in the proper queue versus snaking around New York.
