Dark Universe would help lure guests to HHN. That's a pretty big reason to keep the Monsters around at the event. Not to mention that Monsters are in-house and are much more flexible from a creative standpoint than other IPs at HHN. The only way I see Monsters taking a break is if A&D are burnt out.

Creature, I can't see being possible, it seemed like at least in our Orlando they just killed him off and made him an easter egg appearance

They can set the timeframe of a Creature house way before that occurs..... lol

Well... actually.. not entirely true. Bride picks up where the 2019 house ends. Legends Collide is the folloq-up & has Dracula seeking the amulet to take revenge on the Bride for torturing/killing his brides for science. Wolfman was just there for his own personal gain of breaking his moonlit curse.

Unmasked is the only disconnected house from the previous intertwined story built across 3 houses. And this wouldn't be the first time in HHN history we've had continuos stories for specific houses over the years.

That’s not accurate. Bride is meant to be a spiritual sequel to the film. Legends, Dracula is after the Amulet to become a daywalker.

Funnily enough to add onto this, you could even argue they continue off 2009, which had 3 UCM houses:

The Wolfman - Meant to be Larry Talbot first inheriting the curse and seeing the carnage and horrors that come with it.

Dracula: Legacy in Blood - The house was all about The Calling, when all of Dracula's Brides, both old and new, would feed (as happening in the 2019 house), also giving fresh energy and power to the Brides, fresh enough for a certain other Bride to harvest later...

Frankenstein: Creation of the Damned - The house showed the creation of the Bride, and I believe actually ended the same way the 2019 house did with the Monster bringing the castle down (although I may be wrong on that, anyone with better knowledge please correct me if so).

Yea, but considering the castle blows up in the finale (we belong dead) & Bride starts in the ruins of said castle. it still works as a sequel to both house & film.

Besides, the Studio isn't smart enough to make that sequel happen, let alone the remake. Unfortunately.

And yea, being a daywalker would give him the advantage for revenge.

I know it's not intentional, but it's a fun little coincidence I wanted to point out that I think (albeit unintentionally) makes some story elements connect rather well. And while I know you weren't trying to be rude, but don't need to 'lol' at it.

Wait, you mean that houses in 2009 based on the original stories of these characters effectively create narrative threads into houses designed to be spiritually sequels to the original stories of those same characters?

It wasn’t intentional. It’s just the nature of using the same source material.

I stated in my comment that I'm aware it's not intentional.

And I was trying to point out exactly that, they do rather effectively create the narrative threads for those sequels. I guess what I'm trying to say is that while yes it's just the nature of it all being from that same source material, it still ended up working rather well, and I wanted to share that as I thought it was pretty neat.

Let's just be grateful they didn't choose to adapt Dracula Untold, that would be an absolute disaster (...wait a second).

I will admit, I kinda liked his "Dragon armor" which Hollywood had on display in their former prop/costume exhibit on the Lower Lot. (just checked didn't take a pic. Fml)

I vaguely remember that house (Hollywood's anyway). Cave. Bats. Strings! Village. Double-push cart scare. Fancy tents.

Frankenstein: Creation of the Damned is more so about Victor and his creations and more based off the hammer film and somewhat the original stor, Frankenstein would come against many of the "alpha" creations that Victor had previous created before him and Victor and Fritz would fall at the hands at the monster. So yeah the 2009 houses are as what Legacy said, their own stories and nothing to do with the Monster houses now.

I would like Creature to be given a house but honestly I feel like Creature is more so a nonviolent monster that just wants to live in his Lagoon and wants nothing to do with anyone, his story is simple to the point and the house I feel wouldn't be anything new to what we've already seen in the films, they capture and try to find out what he is, he tries to fight back here and there and gets back to his home, his lore is no bigger or interesting as Dracula, Frankenstein's Monster etc is what I mean there's a lot you can do more with the other monsters, I would not put it pass them in trying to do a prequel-esque house for him but I can't see Orlando fully doing that mostly Murdy.

As for the Dark Universe, although it would be good awesome to see them use that to help make a house, they're sorta doing just fine the direction they're going, although can be confusing and for others taxing where its going.

You can make him a violent monster if you poke him with a stick enough times!

They could go the Predator route with him. Can't let those pesky adventure seekers escape his jungle domain. Pick them off one by one until its only us trespassing! Right @AlexanderMBush ? lol

It's strange that the reason they wouldn't do Creature is because the costumes would be expensive? Could they really be any more expensive than any other full body suit they do?

EDIT: New trailer dropped for the Fallout series. I'm very curious to see if this series hits big. I would LOVE to see Fallout at the event.

As someone who's recently put in around 200 hours in Fallout 76, I'm 100% for this.
There's SO much material in all the games. Of course there's Gouls. Why stop there when there's Mothman, Wendigo, Sheepsquatch, Blue Devil, Jersey Devil, and even the Manequins? So much lore to work with.

Fallout has a lot of potential to really work as a house, Universal though would as Legacy has stated before to make an original inspired by the property and bring it to the event. They've shown with Seeds and its sequel that it is possible.

I would liken Seeds more to TLOU, but similar concepts!

The reason I would see Fallout coming to the event is if we have a repeat of TLOU.

Aka, the series blows up and they decide to strike a deal with Bethesda to bring it to the event rather than work with Amazon.

Yes I actually stumbled I forgot to mention the Penn and Teller's New KD house which would honestly feel a good adaption if taking Penn and Teller out and had some more originality to it, it would have made as a good Fall Out New Vegas haunted house for 2012.

The possibility of Bethesda and Universal working together anything like that can happen but I'm not too hopeful of Universal jumping at every game company after the LOU although I know many would want properties like Fall out, Dead Space and etc. I feel as if Universal would go on to make originals inspired of the latter than going through all the work in bringing them.

I do want the show to succeed though as from what I've seen, it looks very promising.

I imagine it's also taxing on actors to wear a suit like that for long periods. Especially over in Hollywood, where most of the houses don't even have AC. It would have to be guaranteed a Soundstage or TWDA.

I was typing earlier on my phone so what I was trying to say was as both Seeds and Descendants were inspired by TLOU, seeing how they had done Penn and Teller's New KD back in 2012 that would have honestly worked as Fallout New Vegas taking Penn and Teller out of the concept and placing Fallout in its place, I could see Universal wanting to take inspiration from the games and making it a original that could be a nod to them, its not hard for them to do it.

According to Screamscape, the shutdown of F&F may be completely unrelated to HHN
