Now I know why he walks like that. My gramma had the same posture at 101 before she passed away….

Well, that escalated nicely!

UCM-wise, I'm quite happy with the rumor of Phantom of the Opera. Though not as much with more vampires, this is mainly due to vampires being in all three UCM houses so far. I'm fine with giving them a rest now and then.

As for Blumhouse, those two properties make the most sense for this year. I just hope they can give a good one-two punch since last year really was a tale of two houses as The Black Phone clearly outshined Freaky. It'll also be intriguing to see if this is back in the Supercharged location since admittedly that location worked great for that kind of concept.

This x 1000. I think that is one of the reasons that last year's house was SO good, the length of both mazes added to it's effectiveness, IMO

I disagree. Freaky section was way better than the Black Phone section. I just want them to find a way to transition from one section to the other better. Last year, there was that bright room and you walked into the title of Black Phone. Turn the light off in the room or something at least.

If I remember right, the room was outside. So if it was bright it was bc when you walked through it. I remember it being dark.

I'm excited to see Phantom, but good Lord I am tired of Dracula lol.

I'm curious if this will be based on the new Insidious, or maybe a mashup of all of them.

I’m guessing they’re bringing Drac back cause he probably had the most “wins” in Legends Collide.

I think Dracula makes sense here, Phantom definitely isn't a big enough draw on his own.

As someone who still hasn't been to the event due to the hurricane last year, I'm more than excited to see Dracula potentially there.

I can see F&F becoming the new Blumhouse spot like the MIB tent was for a bit.

As for Phantom v Drac, I think either parade building would suit that pretty well again.

Fully agree on the parade building. Parade buildings are perfect for stuff that requires bigger sets than tents but smaller than soundstages - and I think UCM fits that really well.

The F&F queue was great because of that ice cold AC once we got inside.

I think Phantom vs Dracula will be in a Soundstage. It appears that Universal is trying to alternate the Monsters between Soundstages and the Parade Buildings.

Universal Monsters - B108
Bride of Frankenstein - Soundstage 23
Legends Collide - B79
Phantom vs Dracula - Soundstage 22?

I definitely think we'll get this location back. I'm curious to see if we may get the MIB tent, or if that location may be done for.

I feel like the F&F queue helped spread the crowds out. Having 3 houses and the stage show within such proximity can cause pretty bad traffic. That area of the park is always a mess when I walk through there lmao, but it wasn't as bad last year.

I'd rather have that then the back tent location.

I mean it really depends on what the properties they use in the space when you look at it, M3GAN, they have a couple of good scenes they'll speed through, Insidious would be probably placed in the same way as it was in the 2017 incarnation of the house just added scenes my guess, I don't think the location will affect the house too much.

Agreed, once you get into the queue building proper, that was very much appreciated. Also...

One of the best things about the Supercharged location is it helps spread the houses (and thus, the people) out. In previous years, with the exception of the zone in San Fran, there really wasn't a point to go down that area. Also, it's a house that you don't have to walk far to get to *and* you exit immediately back into the park.

Finally, with KZ under construction, they're probably gonna' need to use that long back path around MIB again, so they really can't have another MIB tent house due to that.

Also, with the discussions of locations it should be mentioned once again. Ultimately what determines what location a house goes into, is what A&D needs in order to make the house they want. Tall sets or flyers/ziplines/bungees? It's going into a soundstage or parade warehouse as they have the height needed for them. Need a bit more space than usual? A parade warehouse is more likely since while they're still sharing space in that warehouse, they have a bit more room since they're not sharing it with a second house a la' SS 23 & 24. Now SS 22 is also an option, but that SS can also be used to take care of another need, privacy. Stranger Things in 2018 was put in SS 22 since they were able to have that secluded from a bunch of people before it was announced. All in all, a house's location comes down to what A&D wants to do with it.

I said this before, and I will say it again as we talk about the MIB tent. I'm on an ECV for HHN and crowds get really annoying. With SZ's epically but it's way too early to talk about those. Give it another few months and we will come back to SZ's.

House locations also can get very annoying. Epically back there with the ST's and MIB tent and when the show lets out. Not to mention if their also have drink tents back there. Last year really helped with that, with no MIB tent. Moving the one ST queue to the MIB tent queue helped as well. The walk was annoying, but better than having to deal with those crowds. I really had no big issues last year with that area. The F&F queue also was very easy for me. I really hope that F&F replaces the MIB Tent for good.

I know it's been beaten to death, but I'm really interested to see how they handle the queues that would normally be in KZ. Luckily it's only 2 locations that they would need to reroute the queues for.

Could the KZ haunted house queues just be put in front of where Rocky Horror Picture is, or would that interfere with parade stuff?
