ehh..from all the reviews I ve read Im thinking about biting the bullet and buying the express pass. It's RIDICULOUS, that the express pass is more expensive then the ticket...but I guess I should just be happy Im getting the Florida Resident Discount in the first place.

Ugh...since it closes at 12 on Sunday, I think the only possible way to see all the houses is to buy the express pass.

There is always the Rip Tour thats like $50 more than the express passes but guarantees you all the house, reserved seating for the shows and 2 express rides on a 4 hour guided tour

First off ,that article is truly moronic, and I left a nice comment, I hope to GOD none of those people ever set foot in USF, I'll enjoy myself more.

Secondly, doesn't look like I'm going this year, I don't like shelling money out for express, not to mention the event overall seems to be on a "down" year, and yet it looks to be more packed.

Here is a question...what houses are typically ruined by going during the day time? For instance our their any houses that have out door portions that will be less scary during the day?

Would like to do the darkest/enclosed houses first, since Ill be getting there before sunsets.

The Walking Dead, and the tent houses are probably the most affected; however it doesn't deter from the experience that much. I'ts not like a Jaws house.

I went through Walking Dead in the light, but still got some great scares. But I was also one of about 10 people in the house, so the actors could really gang up on us.

House of Horrors isn't a tent. It's in the parade building.

ok...bit the bullet and bought the express pass for the 28th...

Now that I have the express pass, thinking of doing the soundstage houses first...since it will be daylight out..

SO my new idea is do the "best houses" first.

Gothic
Dead End
Walking Dead
Maybe a Revenge of the Mummy run.
Grab dinner/drink - Recommendations?
Pen and Tellar
Alice Cooper
House of Horrors
Silent Hill (lot of people said this is the first house everyone goes on, so it's usually the least crowded at late night)
and then HRRR (which ive never been on)

Hope I can fit in all that before the clock strikes 12!

Looking forward to it!

Don't waste express on the Soundstages when you walk right in. The houses are the darkest of the bunch, and with being in the sun, your eyes re-adjusting might alter the way your experience of the house is.

ok..so I should still do the "OU" plan of attack...and go right first? As long as I don't have to wait 40 mins in the express line for Gothic or Dead End....

I don't see myself going on a house more then once....so I don't really care about using up my express pass.

I think he meant if you go to the sound stages first to go thru the regular line since there wont be a line yet and save the express for later in the evening when its crowded. You spent money on the express so you might as well use them when its busy and not waste them right as it opens.

Tonight was freaking crazy again! It's almost not even fun this year. I did 4 houses and bailed, and I have express for crying out loud. Cooper was posted at 60 mins at 7. TWD was at 120 by 8, and everything else at 75-90 for the night. Hell even DM was at 20 mins.

I left a little after 9 so not sure how bad it really got. Also of note House of Horror has moved into my second favorite house behind Gothic.

I hit house of horrors first last night and I totally agree with you Hate. I loved this house last night. Super dark, awesome scares. Great house! Still number 2 behind Gothic for me as well.
Crowds were crazy again though and I ended up smoking cigars in citywalk by 11pm.
