My understanding is he doesn’t want Orlando’s hand me downs, and resents that they were pushed on him back when the event came back on line. And he’s absolutely right that it’s the IPs that differentiate Horror Nights Hollywood from its competitors — want a lineup full of originals? Go to Knott’s Scary Farm.

I don’t want all original ips but more characters who create a lore for the event is just fun

But it’s funny to me to saw “I don’t want to use other people hand me downs” when literally that’s what an IP house is

anyway I just want him to try more things with original houses, after 10 years of Latin inspired houses aren’t you a little board? Aliens? Other cultures? Your own twisted Version of fairy tales? The Crowz finally getting a house?

HHN will be successful if you allow for some newer ideas

Part of the reason People love Art and FNAF because they felt fresh and new

There is some truth to this, but there's also no reason you can't have both IP and originals in more equal measure. Especially when originals may take some of the crush of crowds/lines from the high demand IPs and result in a more pleasurable experience. Orlando manages to do this successfully.

But this also probably leads to the problem: where exactly do you put those extra original mazes? Orlando does have a lot more space to work with than we do.

Couldn't have said it better myself

For the space, now probably wouldnt be the best time (and Murdy doesnt have originals as a priority) so I hope they figure something out when proper park expansion happens. Even if they manage to get that 9th house venue at the hillside up and running, if it went to IP I'd still be insanely happy. I hope for a future where there is space for both, and one doesn't take away from the other anymore.
