It's probably unofficial. If anything, I don't think they'll ever even plan to say it. Why not just trick more people into buying the 2pm? Sounds like something corporate would do this year.

That would be insane.....well I'll let as many people know when it becomes true.....Universal for some reason hates updating fans. Like with any news or anything. I feel like they just expect Bloggers to tell everyone whats going on in the parks

Chucky has a new popcorn bucket, guess who i heard from?
Not Universal

New merch

Facts about attractions

Changes in policy
Not universal

Your team here along with others provide news weekly, universal studios I don’t see doing that and when they put out videos with behind the scenes stuff, it’s things like what I’m posting below.

Also we had to call to clarify how early access worked. I’m sorry but what am I missing? The official universal Twitter and other social media are very much to me not at all where they should be

I actually think Jerrod is right here. I remember how hard it was to find info on when the parking lot/lines would open for SNW opening day, for instance. In that case different help lines were giving different info. USH communication is generally pretty poor when it comes to the finer details

there's a large gap between, "Universal could communicate better" and "Universal expects bloggers to disseminate information."

do they use media outreach to promote events, the park and merchandise items? absolutely. that's how access journalism works. but that's not what's happening here. when universal wants bloggers to promote something, there's usually a press release to accompany that desire.

I just don't understand when USH has a media team and they do posts and what not 's almost never updates

Like the Luigi Magent is in the parks, Bam USH twitter should be the first people I see talking about it, New Chucky Popcorn bucket or a Houses Facade is done you'd think USH would want to be the one's telling us about it and not random boogers on YT or Instagram

In this case They should be telling people that Early Entry Tickets now get you access to SNW....to sell more you'd think and also spread crowds out

I was just looking at the Twitter and yeah, it's mostly park hours, random photos and then every now and then News. I just think the team should be posting more news and heck on Slow days, TELL people it's slow and to come in, many AP's might jump into the park hearing that. Anyway that's just me I think the social media for the company is wayyyyyy to on Bloggers which most people don't follow just hardcore fans

I didn't say there weren't any issues with USH communication - but we're talking about Early Entry and Nintendo access.

They did tweet about the USH magnets. They're not going to tweet about house facades being done, though. C'mon, let's be real here.

We just see social media differently then

USH should be hyping people up, this is their biggest event of the year and I feel like the content I see is lacking big time.

As someone who is on this board and a FB group, I can tell you right now the parks are not that great of telling people when items they are selling are at the parks. Without this site/FB I would never have know about the Chucky popcorn bucket, would it be that much to make a post about that?

Express is getting expensive for the FF upgrade. $172/$212 for a Wednesday is pretty crazy

The GP generally doesn't care about the minutiae of HHN construction or a random T-shirt drop. Their social media tweets out relevant stuff like this morning:

https://x.com/UniStudios/status/1707057510182515179?s=20

or when Dufftoberfest was coming:

https://x.com/UniStudios/status/1699595865185227211?s=20

Could they have been clearer about how Early Access works? Absolutely! but some of these expectations need to be checked.

Yeah the biggest failure in communication this year, IMO, is the early entry process. Really worried about how all that's going to go as we get into October.

Once again we disagree. They have a social media team, it would take at most 30 mins to upload a photo and caption.

As for Policy there is ZERO excuses. They can have a paragraph on how these work and now that SNW is apart of Early Entry why not tell people about it? Isn't the point to see more tickets and add ons? Isn't it to spread out the crowds?

I think for the almost nothing cost of running social media, USH could be doing more. I know they have had an amazing year but doesn't mean you just don't try to draw more people in. Thursday are lighter for HHN, make a post about it. Draw in more people, show how empty SNW is during it so people want EE. I see it as a minimum investment that after a few tickets or extra items sold pays for the post

Have throwback Thursdays ever been reconsidered? They seemed to have brought more energy on Thursdays, but I'm not sure if they were actually succesful

They were fairly successful but they aren't really needed anymore. If the Wednesdays this year are light, I'd expect them to consider trying something similar to boost numbers on those days next year.

I don’t know many people who scroll a company’s Twitter feed to learn the info before travel. MAYBE as a secondary source. I’d be curious to find out the actual numbers.

I’d rather all this information be available on the website and for customer service to be made aware of the changes. To me that’s where the gap is.

I also don’t personally get the logic of “Hey the event is absolutely slammed, let’s tell everyone we opened more space. Also, let’s now sell even more tickets.” That literally keeps the problem as is.

I remember back in 2019, the event was also getting pretty crowded that year. I recall them handing out paper fliers at the entrance that Hogsmede would be open during the event as well as the Dark Arts show on peak nights. I could also see them doing something like this for SNW.

Well, on the first Wednesday of the event, Stranger Things is posting a 180 minute, Holidayz at 20, Exorcist: Believer at capacity as of 5:47pm.

(These early entry tickets are kind of a ripoff, methinks.)

Oof that’s bad. I’ll be curious to see how lines are when things settle a little more a couple hours after opening.
