Public corporations need year over year growth to keep investors happy, and the parks were starting to maximize per capita spending. It was time for another source of revenue unfortunately, and paid fastpass was the next easy option.

Unfortunately theyre bleeding their parks and their guests dry due to the horrendous decisions they’ve made throughout the rest of the company over the last 4+ years.

Literally. Took them nearly 3 years to implement a standby line. I'm so happy they did it. I finally don't have to worry about virtual queues anymore

Excellent.

That should help ease waits at the other high-demand rides in the morning, and will help even more when Test Track re-opens.

Not surprisingly, I'm very happy with this news.

Though I know the folks who're happier than any of us at the news are the CM's. As they were never fond of having to turn guests away and constantly explain why one couldn't just enter the line like every other attraction in the entire resort.

It's about time, holy crap. I'll probably stop by EPCOT when visiting Orlando this summer now.

Finally, wayyyy to many days of GOTG running empty trains in the early morning/late evenings.

I'm 100% on board with VQ during the first few weeks of operation when technical issues persist, but 3+ years is overkill.

This should allow Epcot to balance itself evenly when it comes to it's E-tickets.

Should expect wait to average 45-60 minutes if you are inside the building itself (assuming not a significant delay/backlog of LL users). I have a feeling they'll just exaggerate posted waits to prevent having to use an outdoor extended queue.

It would be even cooler if they added single rider to this ride...

This is the one thing they messed up when designing the ride. Such a fun re-rideable experience, but is made difficult with how long the entire queue/preshow takes.

I'm really hoping there's a way for them to integrate one, but the building is already maximized as it is.

They designed the queue to accommodate evens and odds, which more or less eliminates the efficiency argument behind a single rider line.

They certainly do their best, yet based on my experience, they seem to struggle filling every possible seat still. Guests love to ask for row requests and it unfortunately impacts the CMs ability to fill every seat immediately.

They did that at Rise of the Resistance for a bit before finally giving in and adding single rider.

A two-row, four-across vehicle is a bit different than a long, two-across train.

Yeah, single rider for a two-across row can be really hit or miss. It actually went by pretty decently for Incredicoaster at DCA when I used it in 2019, while I swore off using it on Hagrid as that took forever the handful of times I used it.

That said, I would love to just skip the pre-shows for Cosmic Rewind. It doesn't age well on repeat visits, and it hinges on a whiff of an effect. It really makes me appreciate Tron's pre-show which wastes zero time giving you a cool little moment/effect, and getting you in.

I also noticed on socials some folks are still clinging to "But 3-4 hour lines outside!!!", you would think they would drop that after the mythical lines never materialized for ROTR, Tron and so forth, but I guess folks need something to cling to.

Agreed. The preshows allow the lines close to the coaster to thin out a bit but, as much as I like Terry Crews, I spend most of the preshow being a little bored. So, I guess that is the same as just waiting in line. What was I complaining about again?

I'm sure it'll get a posted (not actual) ridiculous wait time at the start (probably like FoP) to discourage people from coming here first, and it should settle around in the 60-minute wait range afterward.
