I finally saw KPop Demon Hunters
Its good
I think or Hope companies look at this film and try more films like this...like if I'm Disney the minute I see this I'm making a modern day animated musical animated film....but doubt they will
The songs are well done the main character and villain get a good amount of dept, I think most of the side characters are fine but they are very one note because of how much the movie focuses on the main character and villain which is good, I feel they did a good job with both
The animation can be hit or miss, its mostly great but there are some times it felt more generic and just there, like some scenes have great angles and are filled with things to watch and other times feels like empty spaces or just not as polished, doesn't ruin the film but as an animation fan sometimes didn't feel like every shot was the best angle. I'm sure if we get a sequel this wont be an issue, Neither Sony or Netflix seemed to have know how big this would have gotten
But this goes to show young people still like music....looking at you Disney not every film needs music but also music can help connect people to characters and movies. K-Pop ia getting bigger and bigger every year. Also you don't need huge actors to make a great film and promote it....making a film people want to see will most likely get you what you want
We will see how many lessons other studios take from this...including Netflix
Also hopefully we get the sequel in less then 3 years but we will see if they had an idea for the sequel or if they need more times which is fine..but also it can suck waiting so many years for Netflix to get back to a story
