Finished A Man on the Inside on Netflix (Mike Schur was the man person behind this who also was the main person writing the good place and also wrote for the office)

Its a good solid show, not as strong for me as The Good Place but also tackles some interesting topics and if you enjoyed the office, good place or parks and rec then I would give the show a shot.

Has there been another take on the IP since the movie I missed? Because I'm in my 50s, was before my time, I only know it vaguely because my mom loved it. At a certain point, there's simply no nostalgia for an IP anymore. And if it's riddled with dated stereotypes, why not just start fresh?

This felt like cash grab since this is not connected to the show that brought back The Karate Kid IP but....I have AMC a list and will check it out the trailer is good and hoping that it reflects what is in the film

A spokesperson for Disney confirmed that the story arc was removed and provided the following statement to THR: “When it comes to animated content for a younger audience, we recognize that many parents would prefer to discuss certain subjects with their children on their own terms and timeline.”

So here is the thing

Many are still against this because if you can’t talk to your kids about it to be you disapprove of it

Many lie and say they are fine with these topics and people in real life, but must be lying because Disney keeps getting crap for having lgbtq+ characters

I think it’s bs and don’t know why parents don’t know how to talk to their kids….did we all forget our childhoods because I remember what being a kid was like and could definitely understand these topics if explained to me

Also find it funny seeing all the trends since the election…these companies believe in nothing and hope people remember this

(Also just to 100 percent clarify, I’m in support of lgbtq+ community and think there is nothing wrong with them being included on any type of tv shows or movies)

but what happened and what made them change it? the stuff they removed was approved and was filmed ( animated) so between the script approval, the creating of the scenes and the removal, what happened?
