The date could be when they plan to start Technical Rehearsals and some one got confused and posted it as the opening date.

I think what is more likely is that a tentative opening date was circulated and someone made that date live on the web page. Whether that person didn't realize the date wasn't officially released or if the page was published inadvertently (or something else) I don't know. But like @Brian G. said, don't treat it as an official anything — there's (presumably) a reason we haven't gotten an announcement yet.

Actually this reminds me a lot of the West Coast Racers queue. All it needs is a screen of someone drying paint.

But yeah the Q is what I assumed it would be....west coast racers but done by Universal

There’s also the possibility that it was indeed the 26th but they just weren’t ready to announce it.

I mean sure could be, but to me would be weird to say its not that day and then a week from now....say ok it was but we didn't want to tell you

Normally there is a month + lead up like for SNW but this ride has had an interesting construction life...so assuming that has to do with it...plus its summer time they want it open ASAP to make all that money

Yeah, I smell damage control. I think this situation only bolsters that softs and AP previews shouldn't be far behind.

I think they’d keep quiet and not say anything if the date was still the same. But who knows.
