So if this is accurate, does that mean a VERY long softs period? Not sure if I buy that considering they're probably pushing to open it before FFN. The pass member preview thing almost sounds too good to be true.

I had the same question so I asked him twice, and he confirmed again that it will open in the summer. I assume that it is caused by site geography feature. Since it's located right next to studios with very steep hills, a new roller coaster type from Intamin(high-speed controlled spinning blitz coaster) these factors may cause lots of unexpected situations even after enough test cycles.

They need lot more time to tune and adjust extra to ensure to operate reliably. I believe that they can do a preview so early because once they install glass panels with enough ride cycles(and this will proceed quite quickly since HHN is over and they will gain more time for construction), the ride is practically ready to go but not capable of holding a large amount of crowd due to reasons I explained here.

Hey guys, today I went to USH and bumped into one of the creative people. Since I do architecture, we talked for around 20 minutes, discussing architecture and theming, improvement recommendations.(I also pointed out an ugly wall on the sky bridge queue area, asking them to replace it with glass material) And I heard a very very interesting thing from them.

Here is what I heard

1. Pass member preview of Hollywood Drift starts around mid-December.

2. Unexpectedly, the opening of Hollywood Drift is set to summer 2026 instead of spring.

3. Yes, the Simpson land close permanently in 2028 to accommodate new attractions and experiences (They are considering between Wicked or Pokémon)

4. Waterworld stays forever! There is no plan to replace the show whatsoever.(YESSSS!!)

5. They did a vehicle spinning test on Saturday morning 11/8

But I haven't heard anything about Fast and Furious site expansion.
They said that I have very good ideas, asked me to apply for an internship and that's it! Hope this helps.

There's a really good chance they may have been lying. Something that I'm noticing is that they may be putting out wrong info just to throw everyone off. When I talked to a worker there (who, now that I think of it, may have been from Intamin due to the heavy German accent), they told me different dates for full circuit testing and yet, its already started happening last week.

With all that said, this thing is absolutely not opening for softs in December. They don't even have all the trains in the station yet and who knows how many cycles they have to run each individual train before Creative takes a ride on it.

I just can't imagine one of the "creative people" just... said this to a complete stranger. Not to mention, they're just conveniently considering the two IPs that are requested ad nauseam on this forum?
