Yeah now that you mentioned it, I recall that there would be these kind of mechanisms in the Mac Xtreme spinners. I know this will be automated spinning, but maybe these are sensors.

Besides, even if these were brakes to “neuter” the ride, y’all need to chill. The ride isn’t even fully built yet! I guarantee on your first rides that’s not even gonna cross your minds. You’re gonna be to stoked out of your mind before even thinking about the trim brakes if that’s even what it’s for!

If the leaked animation from two months ago is somewhat accurate to the real thing, the trains may have cars 1 and 3 only do rotations while cars 2 and 4 engage in more extreme spinning.
