If Ministry had gone to USF we probably would have less reason to get The Great Hall restaurant in Epic.

Just some quick measurements to give an example.

The MoM building is roughly 152K Sq Feet.

Gringotts is 95K, Mummy is 91K, and FJ is 100K.

From the offering standpoint, wouldn't it make more sense to fill in and replace the multiple dead zones in the park? And from the local economy standpoint, Orlando grows more and more unaffordable every year and the parks are understaffed as it is. A new park will only make it worse. The only thing I get is the growth standpoint, but I'm kinda sick of everything being about growth instead of quality (Epic will be quality but the current parks have undeniable problems that should be taken care of first).

I think the land should have been a multi-purpose housing and retail development with some land being affordable housing for Universal employees (which to give them credit is actually happening but not soon enough).

But without growth they can't afford more expansions which means we get less overall in the end. They also don't have the room for all these new attractions. So less money and less room means these lands never would have happened more quickly in the form they have today.

That's including the queue buildings though right? The actual ride building looks closer to 90K.

Looking at the FFL plot and the MoM building, and assuming you could clear everything from MiB to Gringotts and from the road to the first outcropping of the lake(just for argument's sake), you can get the ride building in there. Might need to relocate the maintenance outcropping though. The Queue building would be a lot tougher. No way as it is laid out now. It would take a lot of reconfiguring to make it work. That's without knowing what in that area is absolutely untouchable as well.

Hi! I'm new here.

If I may make some suggestions, would the suggested expansions have to correlate with the already-planned attractions?

Technically, the "already planned" attractions are purely speculated at this point so suggest away. . .

What I meant was would the expansions have to necessarily be connected to the already-established lands, such Super Nintendo World and Dark Universe?

Ok.

Aside from the rumored Creature from the Black Lagoon and Luigi's Mansion expansions…

I just learned about the Transformers: Megabase attraction from Universal’s parks in Beijing and I think that would be an awesome idea for one of the expansions.

If you are referring to Transformers Metrobase then that is quite literally Marvel Super Hero Island.

Hello, I'm new to this forum and new to being a Universal fan (50 year Disney fan from the West Coast). I see this conversation is not active but I have read all that's posted and wanted to add some thoughts, hoping you find worthwhile:

As far as the large 20 acre expansion pad... there are some genres the park is "missing" which include sci-fi as mentioned, a lush tropical jungle environment, and a historical/geographical adventure theme such as pirates or old west. None of these are required but could offer variety.

I would love a fully immersive 20 acre pirate themed land, though can't think of an IP besides the video game Sea of Thieves. I'd love a 20 acre old west (especially with that somewhat going away from Magic Kingdom) and maybe the video game Red Dead Redemption could offer the IP.

But the tropical jungle is most exciting to me in terms of what Epic is missing (other than taste at DKC) and one radical option is to build Jurassic Kingdom here. With the acreage available, they could build a fully immersive world with multiple ride vehicles...a new and improved boat ride, jungle jeeps (perhaps trackless like Magic Kingdom's upcoming Cars ride), and even a skyway/cable vehicle through the treetops. All of these ride systems could traverse the same expansive dinosaur-filled jungle similar to the Autopia/Motor Boat Lagoon area of Disneyland, offering different flavors of experience, and individual dark-ride scenes. This franchise is so core to Universal and could be reimagined on an epic scale. And I think it could have its own in-park Jurassic Kingdom Hotel as a backdrop, with lush plants and waterfalls from the hotel facade.

This could be especially smart given that Disney is removing dinosaurs from Animal Kingdom, and dinosaurs appeal to all ages, you don't have to be a fan of the IP to "get dinosaurs."

So what would happen to Jurassic area at IoA? There could be a Harry Potter expansion with The Burrow, Quidditch World Cup, and Velocicoaster could be re-themed as The Dark Mark, flying over the magical tent-city of the World Cup. Keep in mind this would be in 10-15 years after Jurassic Kingdom opens up.

Welcome to the forums! Hope to see you around!

I think Sci-Fi is probably the biggest hole in the lineup, but even then, elements of the Hulk and Velocicoaster queue lines definitely feel very high tech and science-y. Nothing "Space" here, but that also could feel a little bit like cribbing on Epic Universe's style a bit to go full Space-Land imo.

I will also argue that JP still feels very Jungle-y imo, even if the feeling isn't quite as extensive with Velocicoaster eating up the space of a lot of the prior foliage. Camp Cretaceous, Thunder Falls Terrace, the pathways between Potter and the Discovery Center all capture that tropical jungle island vibe great, and River Adventure has always essentially been Universal's take on Jungle Cruise itself and it looks the part, especially in the front "Guided Tour" half of the ride.

I think JP definitely deserves a massive plot in Universal Orlando. It's a massive IP, and I wouldn't be opposed to Kong eventually leaving in favor of the Jurassic Expansion they planned many, many years ago. And I'm always down for incredibly kinetic aesthetics in my theme parks like your lagoon ideas!

It’s weird that IoA Jurassic Park is probably still the biggest/most comprehensive iteration of a Jurassic land, although I think Camp Jurassic does a ton of heavy lifting.
