The land overall looked good. I will admit with the rain we didn't get to explore everything we wanted to. But the cat area was cute, but confusing at times as to what did what. But it was also super crowded due to rain and being covered so I am sure some of it was that. The show was amazing and everyone loved it. The Po Training was also very cute and my kids were amazed when Po knew things like someone wearing green and stuff. They also really liked that too.

We didn't get to do the coaster or explore the playground due to rain, so we will need to get back out later and check it all out. But overall the land was a hit with my kids and we will be back for sure.

and...that's what counts the most....if the kids like it, Universal has done their job well....without even a big budget.

Again, I think it's simply due to lack of budget. The land is worse without these songs, but it's not like it completely ruins it or anything.

I take this to mean you feel there would be a cost difference to UNI if they played Pop songs instead of an instrumental recorded by a less popular musician?

Unless licensing has changed drastically since the 80's, a venue broadcasting music would just pay a licensing fee to ASCAP and BMI. They could provide a play list back to ASCAP and BMI, but it is really up to the publishers to collect their share from ASCAP and BMI, the publisher would pay the artist.

Anyway, my understanding is that the way UoR broadcast BGM, it would not matter what songs are played, just that UoR has a deal w/ the Unions to play music from x number of speakers x number days of the week w/o regard to what particular songs were played.

This is a nice effort for a place that sells 1 pizza and like 3 sweets. Hopefully the menu rises a bit more to the occasion eventually.

Was Kitty Softpaws not there to help you? I went there 2x and she helped me both times. Although I did have to ask.

I hope she gets a Mega Movie float; she is awesome!

 ;)

There was no employees there. But I also it was raining so I imagine it had a lot to do with that. Employees were not around the area like they normally would be I assume.

On an amusing note I forgot to mention was at the Kung Fu show the employees are very confused as to when the shows happen. They said it should be every 30 minutes, but the 6:30 didn't happen. We were there for the 7:30 one. I said, well there was no 6:30 listed on the app, but 7:30 was. They go oh. Again communication to employees on show times is very lacking. I mean they work specifically at this show and STILL didn't know the show times :lmao:

They said it was closed for the day on Wednesday but that seems more than a day…

Sign is gone, too.

They’ve added safety warnings over speakers around the area now, like to only slide feet first.

It was so long since anyone posted, that I almost forgot they just opened this area back up this summer.....But I will stop in when I vacation in November. I've always enjoyed the Shrek/Donkey M&G and I might stop to see the KF Panda martial arts thing.

What could possibly be wrong with this coaster that it needs to be closed for multiple days? Lol

Maybe they're fixing the hideous, cheap looking entrance sign. We can only hope.
