This is a cute take, and something that could be done well given the right team. I'm imagining the Wax Statue episode of Gravity Falls in some ways. Coolio, Genghis Khan, Larry King, Shakespeare all in the same murder mystery plot. Seems pretty disconnected to the original "IP" which is fine, not every IP-based movie needs to sell the IP to the GP. Could also be done really unfunny, uninteresting, or overly indulgent with it's reverence in the wrong hands. We'll just have to see.
