Disney princess boutique thing is super popular and more expensive for the equivalent monster makeup tiers ($45 for just the face makeup and $170 for makeup+some souvenir accessories), so I could see this being a success

The “Experiment” ticket, which includes just face paint, starts at $45 per person. For a more comprehensive makeup experience that also includes matching accessories, the Transformation ticket is available starting at $169.

I was surprised the 45 experiment says the words "full face." for such a lesser cost than the bigger one I assumed it would be partial designs like the facepaints on the pathways. I am interested in checking out the design book next time I am in Darkmoor! The experience looks immersive and fun, even if it is just facepaint, they added value with the setting.

Like the $45 one is sort of normal. I just can’t see a lot of people going the $170 full transformation. BBB has a much larger appeal because princes and princesses. So I don’t think they can be completely compared. Also the Creature of the Black Lagoon photo made me laugh out loud.

I think it's cool they're taking a big swing here, but I just don't see this lasting more than a year or two. That "no booze after the makeup" rule is going to dissuade a lot of potential adult customers.

I don’t know , I actually think it’s going to be really popular. Especially if the quality is that good. $45 is just about right compared to similar type experiences at Disney like say droid or lightsaber building

it falls to the ground. My soft felt claws can't get grip. I panic. I throw myself into the nearest body of water. I am now the creature of the toon lagoon.

We'll see how much the general public find it interesting but during previews they seem reasonably popular already. I've mentioned it before but you don't have to search hard in the crowds to find a few people who did it.

The quality seen in person is pretty good which would encourage other people to do it too.

The full experience? (If so was it discounted at all?) That’s what I’m questioning the most. The costume accessories don’t seem to scream quality but the make up looks great.

I'm actually not sure if they had the full experience available during the first team previews or if they have them available now.

Does anyone know if that's the case? So far, I haven't seen anyone in costume.

They have been doing it-- I didn't see many while we were there, but supposedly they have done some each day of previews.

What is the thinking behind the 'no booze' rule?

Interesting. I don't think I saw even one during any of my visits.

I put in a group chat that it'll be a bar within five years. I hope it does well, but I don't think there's a market for this at the scale to keep it around.
