Dark Universe - General Discussion Thread

I'm going to be very curious to see what merchandise is offered in this land. "In-universe," like Galaxy's Edge and the Wizarding Worlds? Or anything Monster-related, even if branded to specific movies, like you currently find in gift shops?

I'd guess a little of both - this goes for the other lands as well (except Nintendo).

I'd be willing to bet we'll see some Darkmoor-specific stuff too!

Have we heard rumblings for how testing is going for Monsters Unchained? So much news this last week so I’m sorry if I’m behind asking on anything. Im curious how E tickets are testing.

Possible I've missed it, too, but I don't recall seeing anything to indicate how the indoor rides are doing.

At the Epic Universe panel at NY Comic Con, Anisha Burgos mentioned that she's ridden Ministry - but I don't recall Gregory Hall explicitly saying the same when discussing Monsters Unchained.

I decided to research Dark Universe by watching several of the movies, and even watched that awful Van Helsing movie— I wonder how much of Monsters Unchained is the Van Helsing attraction they designed 20 years ago and turned into Forbidden Journey? Same ride system, so there are obvious parallels, but the modernized Dracula bares a strong resemblance to the Van Helsing version.

I asked this before but I don't think I got an answer. Do we think they will have a more proper , thematic protection under the sections the curse of the werewolf crosses over the paths or will the current black netting be all? I could definitely see so tent like cloth in place of it. The black netting looks kinda cheap.

I think something more in the line of what they have on the How to train your dragon coaster. There is one place where a rusty frame can be seen with half a circle after the second launch..

To me it looks like Werewolf doesn't actually spin all that much. I think to get the best ride, you will need an odd number of guests to get more spin because of uneven weight distribution.

ouch ..oh no.... forbidden journey made me cousin very sick lol

Yes, but Forbidden Journey's motion sickness may be more about the visuals in the projections not matching the movement of the arm.
