I mean the work force has dramatically changed in 20 tears

Look up how many people out of college are getting jobs, look at how many need two jobs to support themselves

It was easier to buy things 20 years ago compared to now, inflation is crazy and gas effected everything in life

Like now it cost more to eat and more to rent, meaning less money for gaming for most people

Yeah

Video games are in the worst spot since I was a kid. Just no wins......consoles are near 1,000 bucks and GTA is 80 bucks with no disc. I just Miss the PS3/360 and PS4 generations so bad

This is why I’m not hesitating on the Steam Machine. It’s only going to get higher. Not only am I selling my Steam Deck for it which will make it “cheaper,” I also fully expect the vast majority of games for the foreseeable future to be made highly scalable to lower end hardware like it. With all the uncertainty in the industry concerning layoffs and studio closures does anyone think these companies are chomping at the bit to make games that can only run on the PS6 and XBOX Helix? Two consoles that will most definitely cost over $1,000 and possibly approaching closer to $1,500? People were annoyed with how long the PS4 and XBOX One “held games back,” now they’ll be thankful when the PS5 does it and the XBOX Series X|S as well.
