Well, better to axe or rework the shows now, then to wait after the park officially opens. This way there's a good chance that replacements are forthcoming. If weak street shows were met with hohum receptions during official opening months, they may have disappeared forever from Celestial. Universal MO is that they're not very patient with live entertainment.

Yeah, I only caught a little of the original Celestial entertainment and it was lacking "direction" for lack of a better word. None of it seemed to particularly fit the theme. Considering how good each of the other four world's street entertainment is, it was surprising to see it be so lackluster.

You did?! How?!
(Oh wait nvm I see what you meant; I was hoping for someone to record the shows)

I loved the singing one but I’m a big music person. I still hum some of the songs a month later. It was like a lite version of awesome mix live. It was fun for what it was and I hope it can come back in a similar capacity because I miss some of those songs.

I’ve avoided POV’s but have seen walk thrus. I don’t recall which one but whatever performer did “Espresso” by Sabrina Carpenter belongs in USF and not Celestial Park. Felt ridiculously out of place.

Does anyone know what’s up with Stardust? Seems like it’s been closed since Wednesday. I’m taking a couple friends tomorrow for their first time and it’s a ride they were super excited to do, so was just curious if anyone has any insight into why it’s been closed for days.

There are rumors it may be down for a while— I don’t know how reliable the information is, but it seems like they had a significant issue with the ride.

Strange to hear, given how long they've been testing it.

It’s like all of sudden everything is breaking down the closer we get to opening.

You tend to discover problems you don't anticipate when you put an attraction in real world conditions.

I do think they should not have extended previews at this point. It's clear quite a few attractions need additional work (understandable!) in the final weeks.

FWIW I Diddnt even see any trains in the station or break run today and they have not tested once. So those rumors might have some weight to them.

Better to find these issues now and not July!

Worst case scenario for universal is for one of the rides to not even open on opening day, I’m sure they will get it fixed by then, I mean it was running pretty smoothly for a month or so from what I could tell prior to whatever issue popped up.

I hope it’s just the wheels or something being replaced :lmao:

Pretty sure wheel degradation was why Hagrid's had to take so many trains off the track during those first few months. While it was running. So, not only was capacity affected by not having as many trains running, they kept trying to run with eight. Each time take they took one of the track resulted in all those build-ups in the queue.

So, hopefully these previews will result in them knowing this going in. And fixing it.
